So far, the results have been quite interesting, even unexpected. You'd be surprised to see the results, too.

I voted yes. But, I know that the stem cell thing won't be perfected for quite a while and may not happen in my lifetime. So, I will go for CIs instead. :)
 
actually, they are saying in a 5 to 10 year timeline when stem cells will reverse some/many forms of deafness. Do some research on this and you will see what I mean. :)
 
Hard to beleive that deafness to be cure. I heard the rumors for several years but I doubt either it´s really true or not. I beleive first if a person who experience it.

Probably, but it probably won't be perfected and approved for quite a while.

I know a little bit about this stuff but it doesnt have to do with deafness, but still, its about stem cells in general.

Like for example, I know someone who was born without an immune system. When she was a little kid, stem cells was discovered, and they were going to do the stem cell treatment on her but it took tooooo long for it to be perfected and approved (and I don't think it is approved yet right now) and time was running out. So, the other alternative for her was a bone marrow transplant...so I know getting the stem cell treatment perfected and approved could take forever.
 
But First We got to get George Bush out of office for anything like that to happen.Dick Cheney would sign the bill because he has a bad heart.With George Bush veto means we cant make that happen in america.The sooner we can put democrats back in power this november the sooner they can impeach him and then Dick Cheney signs the bill and we can begin to hear again.

It has everything to do with the white house.If US Taxpayers would fund into the stem cell reserach it could develop faster and sooner.When Bush Vetoed that bill now we gotta hope private billionares would spend their money on stem cell reserach.I Rather want my Hard earned money goes towards stem cell reserach than funding welfare so people dont have to get a job and get free food stamps.
 
Long way maybe 20 yrs later for stem cell to be successful.. not now...i dont believe this..

I NEVER want my deafness cured at all ...

Even if it is curable, then
I still do NOT want it anyway.

Hearing anything is very annoying for me
almost the same analogy about these
cockroaches bugging into your ear.

That's my own opinion :)

I believe that stem cell can cure the experience with family genetic, such as would cure for people who get signal with diabete, RP, stroke, alcoholic and cancer but CP and CF is occured from birth but probably can cure with stem cell.
 
I dont think there's such a cure going to happen for the deafness. It almost seems impossible to do so. like it's almost impossible to bring a cure for the blind as well.

Just depends on ears but many people need replace the damaged eardrum that used HA to blows eardrum, just like sounds from machine, my grandma got replaced her eardrum in late 70's and she's fine now.

I believe that stem cell would cure it but need replace new eardrum because HA can damage eardrum and make sounds look not perfectly.

Additional, I'm not sure about CI but their sting is stuck cochlea up and need get remove then spem cell would be work properly.

And I Have type 2 diabetes too.Thats why im Voting democrats straght down the line this november to get george bush impeached from office.And This Bitch will lead the way
