I had to brag this with you all!!!

I am a BIG DOG lover, and always will be!

I recently adopted a new pup, Frankie, on July 22, 2006. He was victim of Star Ridge Farm, the farm filled with 20 dead horses, 30 dead dogs and cats, and he was on his death row of being starved... That place was a animals mill where people drop their unwanted animals and place them to kill them. It was awful... Rescues from Animal Friends came and took ALL the alive animals and treated them in local vet for follow up. Frankie was a lucky pup, and he was so abused, skinny and starved. Spend in hospital for 3 months on treatments to get him back to his self.

When we walked to the Pet Store, and saw all the puppies in cage, and this caught my eye, and asked the lady that I want to take a look at him, and when Frankie got out, and he just ran and jumped on Kyler (my son) and licked his face, to me, he was trying to tell Kyler "Hey Boy, please take me, I'll be good buddy". His personalities were full of energy and full of happy and so smart. We adopted him and brought him home. We fell in love with him, and he is soooo good.. He is 7 months old, and he is DEAF!!!

I been working with him some sign languages like potty, water, play and quiet. He is doing really good. He is really good with my 4 years old son. He is going to be BIG dog, he is Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mixed. Right now he's very much warming up with us, at first we got him, he was scared. After spending a lot of time with him and he just love us!! We kind of spoil him with a lot of TLC, and a lot of treats (bones) and taking him out for walk daily.

We had to stomp our feet or bang the wall to get his attention, sort like a vibration.

Here are the pictures of Frankie... YEP he got BLUE eye and BROWN eye! I have always want a blue eye dog, and this time I got him...

I LOVE big dogs!!!

This is my favorite.. I had to tied him up in back porch, cause I was afraid that he would go across the road which he can't hear the incoming cars or trucks. We don't have fence around, but working on some rules for him to understand what and where he can't go and trying to figure out how to get him to stay in the yard instead of going across the road.

My job with potty training with him is almost paid off, he did really good in potty training, he know when he has to go outside, he would bark at the door, or stand by the door with his tail wagging. Smart...

He has his favorite old squeaky teddy bear which he had when he was in hopsital for treatment, he brought his teddy bear when I brought, and he still sleep with it, and protects his bear. I have the picture of him with his bear, it was sooo cute!!

I felt good when I saw this puppy and I just fell in love, *snap*, just like that. I promised to the caregiver who took care of Frankie, that I will take a good care of him, and we will always treat Frankie as the same as I treat Copper, my other dog. He will be a good family dog.

My friend's dog had puppies..8 of them...I think two of them has blue eyes and one has one blue and one brown (I think or green I can't remember). So cute and tiny! I tried to convince my DHB to have one....dang he said NO. :( Wait till few years. We are not really 100% settle in yet. So Tahoe is enough for us for now.

I felt myself that I am lucky that I got him before he being killed. I know he is beautiful. I had to see her every morning and every night and looking at his adorable face, he would do the same thing and telling me and looking at my eye, "I am glad you took me home and take care of me."

My son is so much in love with him, and he is a GOOD in tug-o-war game with the rope toy... Sooo much fun! And he likes to swim in water!

Frankie is soo adorable dog!
Dang I kept pointing at the animal shelter everytime we drive on Route 302 from North Conway to our home in Maine.. he said "oh man.. wait till we get a fence first" I laughed and I knew he would say that then other day we did drove by that place again he said "geez, you don't give up.. why you want another dog already?" I told him "well, Jake need a buddy to play with, Im tired of him whiney etc He need buddy to play with :) " he said "yes I know, but wait till we get fence first" I said "yep I know.. thats our goal"

I dont believe in tie up dog anymore.. Jake is a loose dog he doesnt run away Thank god for that! he comes back to us when we call him.. or he stays in yard with us when we're outside in backyard, front yard etc.. Im thankful that we pick a right home in maine for our family :)

Momma and your family, Im very pleased to hear that you adopted a wonderful dog Frankie.. he deserves a wonderful family like you and your family :)

Thanks to you all!! :ty:

At first glance, it appears like he is winking with the right eye.

I have no patience for people who neglect dogs or other animals. Send in the SPCPA and have them straighten out the idiots, that's my motto. Yes, I've been in trouble with animal neglect myself a few years ago, but I have learned my lesson and am now on the right side with animal control.

I'm very proud of you, Momma for saving Frankie's life! You're great person for that! He's very beautiful dog, he does remind me in some ways of my dog, named Sara and she's golden rev. But she died when she was 10 yrs old, had problem with her stomach and been sick for awhile, had to put her to sleep because it wont heal up. That's pretty sad, but keep Frankie to be happy and everything as you can! :thumb:

aww melts my heart..especially this pix about holding his teddy bear..sooooo ccccuuuuutttteeeee....
