What are you thinking about? Part VIII

I am thinking I HATE talking numbers with car dealerships. Found a truck that we want to buy but didnt finish haggling over the numbers. Will continue on Monday. GRRR.

I am thinking some apts are crazy when it comes to management. Here at my place they charge residents for move -out:crazy:

Totals can accumulate up to $650.00

That's one of the reasons I don't like car shopping. This car I've managed to hold onto for 13 years now (it's 14 years old)...and only my 3rd owned car (4th to drive- didn't count the one I drove in HS as it was under parents' name).

Interesting- have never heard of that. Only time I can think of that they would charge for move out is if the tenants break the lease sooner than expected or if they're evicted. I would have been charged once for early move out but ended up paying through to end of lease since it came out the same anyway (only a month or 2). Surprisingly I wasn't charged when I left SC- in fact I got back a small bit of money- certainly not my security deposit but a small sum and didn't owe anything.

I read the paper work it says , move-out fees .plus, my neighbor warned me about this too. I checked my paper work and found the form. Before, this never happened to me things change and rules change.

Remember the important number is the difference if doing a trade in!
NOT the price of the vehicle OR the amount of the trade in BUT the difference between the two! That is what you are going to pay in cash or finance.

I'm sure she knows that.

AlleyCat Since you didn't quote the post that you are referring to I am just assuming that you mean mine. Even if that is the case, there could have been a number of posts made in between and really left most of us wondering which you were referring to.

Going on the assumption that you are referring to mine you would be surprised how many people don't consider that or forget it in the excitement of getting a new vehicle. I am going on what my dad, who sold cars for many years, said quite a number of times over the years.,

Shel did not say she is planning a trade in. She said she is looking for a truck to haul things so it could mean she is looking for additional vehicle that is capable of doing heavy duty jobs.

Thinking about how much my life has changed these last few weeks. My niece and my four year old goddaughter have moved in with us while her husband is away for an unknown amount of time for medical reasons. I just had my kitchen remodeled and I find myself picking up, cleaning up ALL day long. They brought over so much CRAP. Toys everywhere, my guest room is a total mess. I know in my heart I am helping them and that they totally need us right now but it is very difficult. I watch my goddaughter all day during the week from 7am-7pm some nights much later. She is the most active kid I have ever seen. She never stops moving EVER!! She had gymnastics and soccer yesterday and was still going at 11pm last night. I give her a bath before her mom gets home from work. My goddaughter is great when it's just me, sweetest thing ever. When her mom is here....OMG what a difference. Thankfully, I can turn off my CI's when the whining starts. HAHA I haven't been this tired in I don't know how long BUT I haven't slept this great in years. Not sure how much longer this situation will go on but I am hoping I will have time to get the house ready for when my daughter comes to visit in September. She keeps me extremely active thought which is a positive...I guess.

Well, that explains why you haven't been on AD much lately. ;)

Sounds like a bunch of good news/bad news. Good to help them out, good to get a good night's sleep.

Hope her husbands gets well soon and they can move back home.

Thank you LoveBlue....I have missed being on AD a lot. I missed talking to all my friends here. My house is quiet at the moment so I thought I would check in here and see what I have missed. My niece is basically my daughter, they have no one else to help them. My mom is 84, she can handle a day every so often, but full time is just too much for her. Heck, I even had a small melt down the other night, I was so tired and at the time we did not know if this situation would have a positive outcome. I hate to admit it, but I am getting older and it is harder to keep up with a four year old. My muscles hurt everywhere. Just trying to stay positive and praying that they can get their family back together soon.

Thinking about how I freaked out my daughter and her friend last night.

We had gone to an outdoor event in our small town knowing the other one would be there.

She got there before me and she and her friend were at dinner when I text her that I had arrived. We weren't planning to meet up as I was meeting a friend.

When my friend parked near me we started walking through the parking lot and I saw my daughters car (actually I own the car) so my devilish mind got to working. I went back to my car and pulled out a post-it and drew a emoji on it and then unlocked my daughters car and put the post-it on her dashboard over the speedometer.

My friend and I ran into my daughter and her friend and chatted for a little then they went their way and we went our way. Later I get a text message from my daughter asking if I had put the sticky note in her car. I texted back "Who? Me? ;)". She texted back that it freaked them out for a second. Guess she didn't notice my car just a few spaces down from hers.

Not doing any trading in. Keeping my car because I am going to give it to my daughter. Besides I have done trade ins so many times before so I know how it all works. Thanks

The fever could be caused by the bladder infection (I hate those as much, if not more, than UTIs). The cough could just be sinus drip
