Hi Everyone,

I'm sorry I haven't been on in awhile. If anyone is still looking for an ASL friend to chat with, I would love too!

I've known sign language for about 6 years and love to learn new things and learn from others!

Best Wishes!

Hey,

My name is Melissa and I have recently started an ASL 1 class online. I've enjoyed learning Sign Language, and my class is coming to an end. However one of the requirements for the class is to interact with one Deaf person. Is there a Deaf individual who would like to have a video chat with me? Preferably before this Friday. I would love to get to know you for a little bit! Please respond to me and we can set up a time to chat for a few minutes.

I'll look forward to meeting you

My Skype name is:

Dereksbicycles.

If you want to learn ASL and be my friend, we can talk about various range of topics.

If you simply need a deaf person to interview, I can help you out. I would be more than happy to talk about my frustration, confusion, anger, denial, loss of word, and laughters that comes after I get bitten by cats. Anything for people who are desperate for deaf person to interview for class projects. Cool?

Argh. my skype alldeaf contacts I tried to move in a group (to separate work and home use) and I managed to wipe them out. So if I talked to you before I promise I didn't block you I just lost you from my contact list.

Anyways, if anyone else is interested in adding me: bobtheowl2 . ASL3, almost all online, so I'm probably awful compared to people in classes with more human contact. But I want to get more experience. Feel free to add me.

I posted a while back, but I'm still interested in signing. I'm on skype as evahamer or g chat as evachamer. I've taken ASL 1 recently and would love to have some more practice!

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am an ASL 2 student. I took ASL because I thought it would be a fun (and practical) language (and I was right!) Like Melissa one of the requirements for the course is to speak with a deaf individual, but I am a very introverted person and it is difficult for me to approach strangers in public. So I thought it might be easier to try on the internet! I have Skype and I would love to video chat with someone if you're interested. I look forward to it.

I would also be interested! I am learning currently, but would love to get involved with learning and practicing with other people!
I am hearing and at the beginner level, and would love any help i can get!

Macker, I can skype with you (and anyone else who is interested)
I haven't taken any ASL classes but have been to 1 Deaf Social and took out a few of those members to a club that night, was an interestin' turn of events. I do know some ASL but it is rusty

I'm interested too! I'm hearing and I haven't found any ASL courses near where I live, so I'm having to teach myself.. I'm picking up on it fairly quickly as far as the grammar structure and everything, but as far as reading signs from someone else, that's where I can really get lost! I need to practice! lol

Where have you been watching these videos online? I am just curious of the different ASL resources people use. I am very familiar with many ASL resources as I have suggested many of them to those who want to learn and master ASL.

Start American Sign Language (ASL) is where i learn a lot of my signing. they have free courses and don't hide information because of it. if you want they have slightly more advanced courses for $10/mo and theres no ads and you can slow down videos so you can catch he signs better. :laugh2:
