Wheel of Fortune contestant uplifts viewers

Oh wow, that's very interesting news.

Do you want to play Wheel of Fortune?

Can still audition- I don't think you have to go to one specifically in your city. Of course you'd have to pay your own way transportation wise...

I think I saw this show but most nights I'm only half listening/watching WoF (watch Jeopardy first lol).

Yeah, I probably could. Only problem is, I no longer have the ability to hear certain sounds, and I highly doubt that an interpreter would be permitted-- there might be something in the rules about that. Deaf people rarely get on these, because of that cost. An interpreter working there would profit handsomely. And I'm not sure about the part of where it would be seen as cheating. That, and my eyesight isn't so great.

Used to watch Wheel of Fortune years ago....now I like Millionaire....being given 4 options for the correct answer is awesome!....and would love to be on that show....as for Jeopardy....too hard for me.

Try not to think about cant. most of those games that have lots of $$$ so they would not mind about the interpreters.. Look at the chopped and other i forget/

I don't see why not. The Price is Right had a contestant... complete with an interpreter! If a show refused a deaf contestant based on their deafness that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Jeopardy had a blind contestant (and champion).

Chopped, Survivor and The Amazing Race had contestants on their shows- although the woman on Survivor did not have an interpreter and Luke raced with his mom who knew sign anyway. And the Irish Chef had an interpreter. Hmm like FF I could swear there is another one I'm forgetting...

Ooo interesting.. a deaf student was on Countdown- a British game show- last month- Deaf student on Countdown show

As for sounds on WoF- I don't think many are that crucial- you can still use visual cues or some kind of hand signal when the time runs out on your turn and if one ever got to the final round, Pat can nudge when the timer runs out. There are work around plus as FF said- many shows will do their best to accommodate.
