Just train pictures and train stories

I believe its a busy street like a Boulevard and has entrance ramps to the highways... I doubt there is ever a train track crossing an actual highway (except by bridge or under/overpasses)

You might be right. Street is busy, all right. Here, let me grab a video of it.

Oh yes, I have seen one on Interstate! I am not kidding! I went to west Ohio, not far from Indiana state line I was cursing at 60MPH and there comes tracks! Two tracks! I was like whoa! on Interstate? Wondering how many accident occur there :dunno:

Sorry not Interstate, its US route 24 near Defiance, Ohio.

I was right, no train crossings on highways, major roadways can be possible, I posted pics of ones here, but NEVER has a highway ever had a traincrossing, let alone stop signs, stop lights, train crossings.... if anything a bridge or underpass. Would be extremely dangerous to bring a highway to a stop at spur of the momments for a random train. The video is of a major street, not a highway, which leads to on ramps to highways.

Oh, okay.

No, you aren't right. I actually physically saw train track on divided highway both with two lanes each and speed limit was 65MPH! It happen was on US rt 24.

I do agree with you that this is insane and I was wondering the same thing when I saw the actual double tracks across divided limited access highway.

Did you know there are a "Dead man's Curve" on I-90? Speed limit there is 30MPH I think, if you speeding, your DEAD man!

This is one of several reasons why I hate Ohio, their roads are insane!

There is a Dead Man curve in a town next to me ( over by the stepkids dads house) speed limit is 30 but drops to 5....and I mean a HARD 5MPH !!! you talk about a hairpin curve, and it goes straight down off a cliff into a river. I will try and get a picture or even a video of it next time Im out that way.... its insanely crazy there. Especially at night. the turn is sooo hard your headlights dont even shine on the road.

Yeah, you would. Pulling luggage up those stairs after getting off the Amtrak is no easy task. Thankfully, I have many years of practice to know how to do it without pulling a muscle.

Why don't you use the escalators or the elevators?

Chuckle, I like the way you said about that curve near you, headlight didn't shine cause it has been smashed so many times that it doesn't reflect much, eh? Scary!

BTW I hope they close that curve during icy conditions!

Nope, its the only way in/out to those peoples homes. I will have to get pics and vids of it soon. And I still cant believe tracks across a highway, across a boulevard, across a route, but a multi lane highway/freeway I doubt it. Ive never seen tracks cross a highway and I have traveled to many states. Im talking major interstates/highways, not the back country roadways and throughways.

These locomotives were in use before the Metra was born in 1982 or 1983.

Cool loco's.

There aren't any for that area. Only escalator goes to the food court on the 2nd floor.

There are escalators & elevators to get to the street level. So just walk to another area and use them.
