I bought a 1988 Ford F 150 XLT Lariat today for $400 cash. Drove it home and it has absolutely no issues. The seller was moving to Florida and couldn't take it with him and that was why I got it for that price.

Just thought I would brag about my continuing conversion to a full fledged redneck. I think I just made level 5.

It's old enough to be classified as a hobby antique vehicle.

Is that too classy? Will I lose points if I get a HA tag?

Redneck only if it is a 4 X 4 with a bench seat. You do know why a bench seat, right?

It has a bench seat but is 2 wheel drive. No, I don't know about the bench seat.

It even has an ashtray. I haven't seen one in a vehicle in years.

You lost points for calling it a "pick em up truck" ... we call them simply "the (my/his/her and so on) truck" or "pickup" and yes its one word :P

You lost more points its just a "gun rack" we can carry a rifle or shotgun or fishing poles in them :P

and forget the antlers ... get a deer or squirrel tail and take the tailbone out and put it on the antenna ;)

Bench seat for your girl to sit next to you.

No antlers. That is for western people.

You need a fishing rod and/or a recliner in the bed. Additional lighting on top and you wearing a dirty, worn-out ball cap. Preferably with NASCAR, tractor or big rig names.
 
And last but not least, if you bad-mouth number "3", prepare to get your butt kicked.
