Guns in high demand as holiday gifts

My shrink told me shooting guns is great therapy

What are we thinking, you ask? Well, we think the AR-15 is just the kind of gun (among others) that would be needed if the government goes nuts.....

That's much worse than simply depression because you want tank to kill people and it is best for you to commit to hospital now, and with your statement above indicates that you have mental illness.

it's different in every state. just Google 'Arizona gun laws' (or whatever state you are interested in). There is no simple answer. You should not rely on advice given here. I belong to a gun forum and that warning is EVERYWHERE.
Check YOUR state's laws.
 
In SC we are allowed to buy guns for ourselves. We can sell to another person unless we "know" that that person is a felon. If that person committed a crime or probation violation, and he told the police that I knew his bad history, I am in big trouble with the law.

I can give my wife a gun as a gift that I bought. I can give my grandsons guns as gifts as long as they are of legal age to own one. I could not give a gun as a gift if I knew that family member cannot legally have one (age or felon). After you buy a gun at a gunshot for yourself, then you may give a gun as a gift after you get home.

No permit or approval by a police chief, Sheriff or Attorney General is required. Only a national background check. My CCW allows me to buy guns without a call for a background check since it is a background check with benefits. I am still required to fill out the proper paperwork at the store.

If the mom in Sandy Hook, CT, who allowed her mentally defective son access to weapons had lived, life in prison or the death penalty should have been recommended. Responsible ownership is paramount, just like driving a car or a trucker carrying a dangerous load.

My AR-15 was not a recent popular purchase. It is close to 15 years old. Still my favorite of all plinking rifles. Second, my Marlin 30-30 lever action which I use for deer hunting. Looks like Bambi's older brother is safe from me this year. I have only about 12 days left this season.

I also consider myself a citizen soldier. When in the service I qualified on the 45cal, 9MM, M-14 semi-auto, 50 cal. fixed-mount machine gun and 12ga shipboard riot gun, completed the mini-combat course with a 45cal. and shipboard firehose (to repel illegal boarders).

Finally, practice makes perfect, not more mistakes.
