In a truly bizarre case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, a runner in Loudoun County, Virginia was struck by an airborne deer. According to The Washington Post, Krystine Rivera had experienced a bad day at work so she decided to go for a seven-mile run to feel better. Unfortunately, as Krystine put it, the day, “got astronomically worse.”

It was around 6 p.m. on the southbound Claiborne Parkway near the Dulles Greenway where an unidentified 71-year-old woman driving an SUV, hit a buck, which propelled the animal into the air then eventually striking the 27-year-old jogger. Krystine explained that she didn’t see the buck, “I was running, then I was on the ground and then was listening to the paramedic. I’m surprised I made it out alive.”

Both the driver and the runner were treated at the Lansdowne Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital and also released by the next day. The deer died at the scene of the accident.

....... :giggle: It's sad the deer died and everything.... but... :giggle: It's kind of funny how it just perfectly timed flying through the air and hitting a jogger....

Good thing I jogged in the woods yesterday after work but poor lady! A bad day at work and the run was supposed to make her feel better and she ends up in the hospital!
