Wow! That's pretty cool hack. I should do that with a newer Mac Mini with thunderbolt and do that, lol.

I think the companies should gear up and make external cpu, video and michellous case for Mac computers.

Mac Mini? it can upgrade RAM memory and SSD. but, never upgrade video card. Oh, I didn't know that Mac mini can hack or use external graphic card.

As long it's a Mac with thunderbolt port, then you can hack it to use external video card.

When Evo showed me this earlier, I could think of one reasonable use for it.

I plug my MBP into the TV sometimes to play games, and having a box like that next to it that I could run the laptop through and into the TV to boost the graphics would be cool.

Other than that, don't really see much point apart from it being cool as a concept.
 
I heard a rumor about Thunderbolt 2 will hit 20Gbps high speed and USB 3.1 will hit 10Gbps.
