9-1-1 is not required to answer calls

Don't forget about car accidents that may require rescues.
I didn't forget... you did. now you're beginning to understand this unfortunate situation.

Anyway, I believe that there are many ambulance services all over. They don't work for the hospitals (independent agencies).
right. but they're not equipped nor trained for emergency situations. they're just for hospice purpose.

What?

No shit! You are lucky since the boys didn't have guns. Know what I am saying?
Yup, cop said I was crazy for chasing them... Back in the days I was bold as hell, MMA, street wise... Had balls THAT big....lol Damn Im old now, I couldn't run out to my car...lol

You are wrong about ambulance crews who don't have trainings. That would be illegal. OFC, they are eqiupped.

no... no.... no.... they only deal with hospice stuff... not car accidents or 911 calls.

and no they're not equipped. it's very expensive to be equipped so why would they be equipped to deal with 911 calls when they only deal with hospice stuff? that's just stupid.

You need to watch TV more than ever.

Factually, I was taken to an ER by an ambulance. I saw that they were equipped so I know what I am talking about.

An ambulance just picks you up and takes you to an ER without trying to save your life because they don't have equipments to do so? Have you seen inside an ambulance truck?

do you know what ambulance does for hospice? they just transport old/disabled people from hospital to home or nursery home.

Have you seen inside an ambulance truck?
in fact - I have seen at least 5 different kinds of ambulance for many scenarios. one of them was as big as a bus

last year, I was invited to observe a Homeland Security training drills @ JFK Airport with at least 15 three-letters state/federal agencies involved for CDC, terrorism, airplane crash, etc. unfortunately, I'm not authorized to post up pictures.

oh shoot! gotta leave now for fishing! :cool2:

OK, when gun owners shoot in self defense, don't they call 911?

Man, 80, Arrested After Shooting Alleged Burglar « CBS Chicago

You still go jail even self defense. How stupid Chicago is!

Anything, Gun is quick than call 911 to save yourself. What's if robber killed you already during 911 was too busy. So shot robber down and painful and let police/EMT arrive place in 20-60 minutes or so. Don't care about robber got bleed till death because of 911 delay.

Yeah, you still have to call 911 after you shot someone down. More gun owners = less 911 calls? Ridiculous!

Bullshit! "I can't help you because I am busy with someone else having a heart attack". Know what? They can be sued for failing to do their job (sending an ambulance on time) since it was an emergency. NO EXCUSE!
The point of the article is, no, they can't be sued because they are not required to answer every call.

It's a warning to everyone who thinks that a call to 9-1-1 will be responded to immediately.

... instead of scrambling around like a chicken w/ its head off.... drive'em to nearest hospital!
If someone is available. A lot of people are home alone.

Most of our first responders are attached to the fire departments. The follow-up ambulances and EMT's are from ambulance companies scattered throughout the area. Some companies have their own ambulances and EMT's. When my son-in-law had his accident at work, the company EMT tended to him, and he was driven to the hospital in the company ambulance. His work place is out in the country, and it would take too much time for an ambulance to be dispatched from town, so they maintain their own ambulance and EMT on site.

Our hospitals also have helicopter ambulances that they use quite often at accident scenes.

Hospital ambulances aren't used for hospice.
