Not sure I agree. It's possible he was just trying to see where Trayvon went so that he could assist law enforcement. :dunno:

unfortunately... he went too far and the fact that he was armed added a huge legal complication to his predicament. that's why the detective wanted to arrest him since he believed that Trayvon's death was completely preventable.

Neighborhood Watch's golden rule is to observe... not to get involved or chase... and rule #1 - do not be armed.

I haven't seen any definitive evidence that GZ "went too far." My mind is still open, however. If GZ is indeed guilty IHopeSomeday justice is served.

nothing is ever definitive in murder case but what's definitive is that Trayvon would have been alive if Zimmerman stayed in his car and let a cop deals with it.

Not necessarily.

That's what he did. And he had rights to carry a gun like you do.

Right to carry isn't same as right to kill.

You support gun control laws and heavily allies with Brady Campaign.

I support gun control law. Looks like you don't know what it is. Gun control law doesn't allow assault rifles and requires background checks for every purchase of any gun/ammo at gun stores, gun shows and private sales. It has nothing to do with self-defense. What happened to you? I thought you knew.

Right to carry - what is its purpose? Tell me.

Not true, the gun control laws will make self defense more difficult and you will REQUIRED to retreat.

Your buddies - Brady Campaign opposed Stand Your Ground law - that what Zimmerman tried to use SYG for his self defense.

If you have a bad background, then you can't have a gun to defend yourself. That makes sense.

No, GZ waived that right, SYG. However, he shot the guy as self-defense so he will use that one.

do you support right to carry concealed weapon in public?

Yes as long as a citizen has a background check and a concealed weapon must be a handgun only.
I don't know if you know this but that's pretty much the only weapon that can be concealed... I'm not exactly sure how can you "conceal" a shotgun or a rifle

How about Butcher knife, Sword, bomb, shank, etc? Aren't they all called weapons?

What is a weapon?

can you please tell me exactly how can you conceal an assault rifle? trench coat doesn't count.

in Florida law - CCW can be:

http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/weapons/about.html
Section 790.06 (1), Florida Statutes, defines concealed weapons or firearms as those carried in a manner that conceals them from the ordinary sight of another person. This includes:

handguns
electronic weapons or devices
tear gas guns
knives
billies

um... that would be illegal. and that's not what we're talking about in here.

we're talking about CCW.

Sword was probably popular for self defense during Middle Age.

Knight knight knight.

Sword was used in Korean-Japanese war too.
