This happened to my implant recently. My audiologist has no clue, and cochlear did not tell her. Anyone seen this?

And no this is not an old one, this was actually recently replaced. :d

Sorry I can't help, I have no CI experience! Good luck though!!

did you leave it out on sun? :hmm:

Nope. Didn't leave it in sun or anything. I do have a box thing, the one that uses the dri-brik, could that be it?

Probably. "If you have eliminated all the other possibilities, the last one is the most likely suspect" :)

If it happened in that drier box, I am willing to bet that it was touching the UV light and overheated & melted.

My friend can't use the dry box with the uv light with his N5 as he's been told by cochlear that it melts the N5 plastic. His freedom was fine.

maybe it's just somehow getting warped in the zephyr, like the warm air being too warm or something... have you contacted Cochlear about this? Maybe don't put the headpiece in the zephyr? I have no idea, just guessing. Have you asked the Cochlear CI users community to see if anyone else has had similar experiences?

My audiologist had no clue, she asked cochlear herself because she was curious, and they didn't tell her anything.

so try contacting cochlear yourself, be persistent and find out why your headpiece got skewed. and in the meantime, I wouldn't use the zypher if possible, in case it is the zypher's doing.
