Getting new earmolds! Color suggestions??

Mack's silicone is squishy ear plugs. I can pull a small piece off and wrap it around the canal part of my ear mold. Not over the tube, just around the outside where it comes in contact with my ear canal. This gives it a tight fit to seal.

I'm healing pretty good. Had an infection scare with swelling and tenderness, and a fever. Got put on heavy antibiotics that kicked it but are sucking the life out of me! Can't wait to be done with it!

Hope you feel better soon! I have had lots of surgery in my life, so I know exactly where you're coming from :|
 
I saw my audi Monday to get fitted for new aids. They'll be either full shell or half-shell. (all in ear)

When much younger (teenager) I wore BTEs. It was very frustrating to me,as
a brown-complected person (have W African,European,and Native American ancestry) that back then (late 60's),the aids only came in pink.

I'm 57 now.

Myself,I like my aids to be as subtle as possible. So,I'm going with tints/flesh
color. My new ones will be brown to blend in with my complexion.

I remember hearing a case of a lumberjack who felt flesh color aids wouldn't
work with his job. He was afraid of losing them in the woods if they were to fall off. He went for bright orange;same color as a safety vest!

It's up to you.
 
Just an update for everyone: finally got around that insurance obstacle!! I have an appt with a new audi for Monday afternoon! I think I'm going to get another hearing test done, because I found out my last one is actually from over 2 years ago! Fingers crossed! Then I'll have the consultation for new aids :D
I think I'm really leaning towards Phonak, but I'll definitely see what the audi has to say! He wears HAs too, so maybe this will work out better :)
But by all means, if any of you have BTEs that you like more than Phonak, feel free to let me know!

They just sounded more natural, the phonak's are I don't know, tinny or robotic kind of. I need the power in the Naida's though, when I had my Oticon Tego Pro my loss was only severe

Oticon Chilis are good, if your loss fits them. My friend wears one and loves it. She doesn't wear two HAs. She like the Oticon for the natural sounds.
 
Just got finished! I chose the Phonak Naida S IX for both ears in light blue!! :D my hearing had gotten a bit worse in my left ear, I'll update my audiogram when I get home. It's now severe-profound in that ear. Right ear is about the same. I am also getting the compilot with the remote mic and all that! I'm excited:D I also got two pairs of soft molds: clear, and light blue/light green/white all swirled!!
NaidaUP-- my audi said even though there are 2 frequencies in my right ear that are better, these will still be the best aids for me.
 
My new earmold! Matches my Naida MUCH better! The canal is a lot deeper too, so it no longer moves when I'm eating.

I made a thread, have you pimped your ears, you should check out what some of us have done, get some ideas :D
