Saw my first one today...and they are really cool!...Fantastic tool for anyone who cannot speak...as my friend had a stroke and lost his speech also. Parlayzed on his right side & arm and no speech. His hearing is fine tho'...He knows a little ASL (using the left hand)...but has trouble spelling the words due to some brain issues, he was in a coma for 4 months....
 
Yes - a number of my kids use the DynaVox Maestro, or the Vmax+

They're great and very versatile :)
