I said a person with $250k income is rich. A person with $50k income is not rich. When someone who earns $50k/yr asks a person how much he/she earns per year and the answer is $250k, how do you honestly think the questioner responds? What's more, Obama said it's time for rich people who earn $250k or more pay high taxes. So I am sure there are many more people out there in America say the same thing.
 
There is a reason we used to call guns "equalizers" anyone can pick up a loaded gun and be as strong as their accuracy with only enough strength to pull a trigger. Instantaneous results with little physical effort and thought.
I grew up with guns and there was serious training involved by serious as a heart attack men that put the fear into me about gun safety.
A free society that allows gun ownership and the freedom to use has some inherent responsibility to its citizens.
The public record for handgun carry permits is not the same as private gun ownership. Just because you do or do not have a permit does not mean you are not legal with your registered 12 gauge shotgun or Bushmaster.
It is important to have some processes in place to make sure that the ones with the guns are responsible citizens capable of rational thought and self control.
This means a rational free society with self control. We are in trouble. As long as we have a huge segment of our society making money off of our lack of self control and good sense then the problem simply cannot be solved.
I want at least two Bushmasters, thousands of rounds of ammo, and lightweight armor for me and every member of my family including the pets.

Homeowner Confronts Naked Intruder Choking Pet Rottweiler, Police Say

Of the bizarre home break-in stories that have happened recently, this one tops the list so far in 2013. Early Wednesday morning, a Miami homeowner reportedly awoke to find a naked intruder attempting to choke his pet Rottweiler.

The peculiar fracas happened at around 5 a.m., police said, when the sleeping homeowners were startled awake by their dogs barking. The homeowner got up to investigate the noise, only to find a naked man attempting to choke one of the dogs.

"The homeowner attempted to get this individual's attention," Miami Police spokesman Willie Moreno told NBC 6 in Miami. "He immediately jumped onto the owner and started fighting with him."

At this point the homeowner, armed with a shotgun, reportedly fired it, shooting the intruder in the leg, and then held him until police arrived. The break-in suspect was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where, according to police, he attempted to bite the homeowners, officers and hospital workers and was thought to have been under the influence of drugs.

According to police, the shooting was "justified."




The strange incident joins a slew of other reports of bizarre home invasions in the past 12 months. In January 2012, a man allegedly broke into an 82-year-old woman's apartment in New York, only to snack and play with the Xbox in her living room. In April, an armed man was said to have forced his way into a Colorado Springs apartment, only to fall asleep in one of the bedrooms. In July, an intruder purportedly broke into a Las Vegas man's home and beat him with a toilet lid and wooden guitar. Also in July, a 25-year-old man allegedly broke into a Connecticut home completely naked, and proceeded to bite the homeowner's arm.

you said a person with $250k income can afford a million dollar house and 3 BMWs. the only kind of people who can sensibly afford such lifestyle is a millionaire. you are basically drawing a conclusion - a person with $250k income is a millionaire and gun owner has a poor anger management.

Know what? Alot of people bought $500-700K house with their household incomes around $75-100k in my neighborhood. Figure that out.
