Jeez.. HTC and Samsung seek revenge? iPhone 5 lawsuit

I moved the post to new thread, because iPhone 5 topic may congest with lawsuit issue.
HTC does have an old LTE phone, I have it: the HTC Thunderbolt (mecha) which is made in early 2011. It's first android with LTE I believe.
Looks like they are pissed? Apple has sued HTC, Motorola/Google, Samsung, LG, what else. If they all teamed up it may look bad for apple because teamwork is hard to beat.

I remember last year this time Apple sued Szechuan food company (1997) for logo similar.

Why Is Apple Suing a Chinese Food Company for Stealing LG's Logo?

Silly phone companies fighting over boat loads of money. Sounds like Apple took more than their share. Hopefully the others will be less greedy and compromise a bit.

Serious Iphone and copy on Samsung and HTC

look likes sound look likes 0.o!!

waste of times stupid

Iphones against to HTC and Samsung if suppose court evidence!

If Samsung and HTC make our court to ban on import of iPhone 5 so I will be pissed off. Samsung and HTC will lose the customer value and I will not buy everything that branded as Samsung or HTC.

I hope Apple has powerful lawyer that blow Samsung and HTC away.

They already did.

ITC judge thinks HTC has a case:

HTC Patents Challenged by Apple Probably Valid, Judge Say - Bloomberg

U.S. International Trade Commission Judge Thomas Pender: “I have to be pretty darn certain a U.S. patent is invalid.”

I don't think iPhone 5 will be permban. It will just be delayed until case over, pay fine, or they will release without LTE.

In bold - what is something that make you think?

Release iPhone 5 without LTE is extremely ridiculous and I don't think that US court will going follow the frivolous lawsuit by Samsung or HTC.

First thing first, HTC and Samsung did come out with the LTE chip before Apple did. HTC did it before ThunderBolt release in March 2011, later Vivid and other models in 2011-2012. I think Samsung's is mostly recently, from SGS3, and SGNexus LTE.
You remember from SGS1 vs iPhone 4 case you mentioned if Samsung did not pay royalties, to Apple it is unacceptable. Now it's the other way around.

I think other companies are doing this strategy because Apple pissed everyone off with mass lawsuits, so they want Apple to feel the burn now.
For USA usually trademark/infringement/patent lawsuits are always settled with cash. Other countries often ban or temporary ban with $$ fine.

Worst case scenario Apple can just release without the LTE QSD (Qualcomm) radio chip and they don't have to pay royalties to other companies.

They came out with LTE but is it patented to only their companies? I think if there is no patent than it's stupid to sue because another company is upgrading their technology.

Technically in this issue HTC can sue Samsung or Samsung sue HTC but they haven't done it or don't bother to do it. There is a mutual unspoken agreement between other manufacturers that they rarely take each other to court. Only Apple has taken all of them to court, except Sony.

Qualcomm is one manufacturer that designs chips to work with cellular frequencies. I think they are the first creators of LTE design, later Texas Instruments just started recently.

If Apple is using that same LTE chip, it's possible violation, the USA ITC judge already thinks maybe.

However, I still think if Apple never sued other companies this whole farce wouldn't happen today. The company products is fine to me. But I dislike their ethics on how they approach others.
Its just like a corporate big bully - are you going to let them bully around others? Even small ones like food and grocer stores.
