Hi, I am doing a Masters Thesis at Royal Holloway, University of London and would like to start a conversation about any challenges you have in ‘Proving who you are’, either related to your deafness or otherwise.
This could be anything from getting through border control at the airport or borrowing a book at the library, through to logging on to your bank account on-line. As a prompt – the following are some of the ways you might prove who you are:
- Something you know (PIN, password)
- Something you have (passport, driving licence, Bank cards)
- Something you 'are' (you signature, fingerprint, DND or other Biometrics)
Apologies to those who may feel this is an inappropriate post, but please rest assured that the purpose of the research is in order to address issues identified through forums such as this.
You can either reply to this post, or email me directly at ajonathanm@gmail .com. This is purely for research, I will not use your comments for commercial purposes, and will keep them confidential.
Many thanks in advance
Jonathan Morgan
