Last Movie You Watched?

Watched the latest Studio Ghibli film Arrietty
images

Enjoyed it. Technically as good as ever. But it won't be my favourite film from Studio Ghibli.

Watched it a month ago. This is one of the few films under their catalog, I would like to see a sequel or trilogy for.

The Three Musketeers (2011)
I don't even recall seeing a trailer for this or really expressing a desire to watch it but I ended up downloading it out of boredom. Good way to kill a Saturday night but I have no interest in re-watching it or buying on DVD/Blu. The action scenes are what really caught my eye.

Martha Marcy May Marlene

Last night I watched 'Martha Marcy May Marlene' at the cinema (first time I've been for ages - usually wait for DVD). It's a strange film with a non-ending like 'Limbo'. Quite unsettling to watch. A lot of stuff just happens with no explanation so you have to work it out for yourself, but you're not given enough information to join up all the pieces. I was really looking forward to the film as I saw a review that praised it very highly, but ended up feeling disappointed with the film.

I like watching Korean Dramas. Right now I'm watching a historical drama series called Jumong.

Before that I watched the same actor who plays Jumong in a modern series called A Man Called God.

North Face (2010) ~ was Nord Wand @ 2008
Phantom Pain (2009)
Both are German films & in English subtitles-

Immortals

Gonna catch up on The Office and Switched At Birth later tonight.
As far as this week/weekend goes. I have plans on starting Trailer Park Boys. I just recently picked up the entire box set so I'm looking forward to watching seasons 1-7

I agree ...Letters to Juliet was a good movie

Tonight I will try to watch......The Help
The book was great and the movie has one many awards so it should be great
Did you watch The Help? Did you like it?

I have been debating on watching it ever since it came out On Demand

Watched 'Shutter Island'. I guessed very early on how it was going to pan out so the ending failed to shock or surprise me. Not Martin Scorsese's best film IMO.

Watched Wrong Game from ASL films last night.

The only one I have is Legend of The Mountain Man - once you've watched all the one's you have, can you post which ones you liked didn't like (I'd like to get a few more, but money's tight, so if you have any comments without giving away the movies, that would be great)

I felt the ending was too Hollywoodized.

Oh, yeah, the movie "The Help" is very good. You better see it. It's one of the nominated films. I bet it will win on Feb 26th, Oscar night.

Tower heist - Some moments of humor, but several scenes totally broke my Suspension Of Disbelief...

Johnny English - I thought it was good, because it made me chuckle as the character tried so hard to look suave while making blunders.

My son loves this movie. It makes me chuckle too.

Last night I watched 'The Darjeeling Limited' by Wes Anderson (who also did 'The Royal Tenebaums'). I really enjoyed this film as I like films which are quirky and have a wry sense of humour.

Tower Heist.

I enjoyed this thoroughly despite not being a fan of Ben Stiller.
I could see a sequel come from this if they come up with a worthy concept

Of the 5 I know of:

Forget me not - don't like. I thought the acting was over-dramatized.
Wrong Game - confusing at first, but very good.
Gerald - very moving and good.
Legend of the Mountain Man - very good.
Versa Effect - hilarious!!! Totally funny!!

We watched Gerald last night. I really liked it a lot. My mother was in her confusion state and didn't understand. Son liked it. Daughter and hubby did not watch.

The Artist.
The actor who played Peppy is adorable, the lead actor fun to watch, and that dog is marvellous. And I'm happy to see that other Deafs have seen and enjoyed it. True, it's a lot of fun to get up and go to a move that requires no headphones, captions, or worries about missed dialogue!
BUT am I the only person to feel like this is a hearing person's version of a silent film? The scene where the guy doesn't understand what the cop is saying completely confused me; he's hearing, isn't he? Oh, haha, a "silent film" actor doesn't use sound, haha. Same with the scene where the cup suddenly makes noise and the guy goes nuts in his dressing room. Uh huh. Sorry if I rained on anyone's parade.
I DO hope that more directors/producers decide to go make some more modern silent films; there is so much great untapped potential here! In the footsteps of Charlie Chaplin. So great that this film is getting so many awards, too.

"Horrible Bosses".....hilarious!...Also the new movie "Conan, the Barbarian", was good....Also "Friends With Benefits".....
