What are you thinking about? Part V

circular? i not see man in website CSign provide use circular sign. :dunno: but it not right hearing act know all and try correct Deaf.

I'd like to draw attention to the fact that this is what happens when people twist the content of posts. This is just one example of many.

MyNameisNO read the posts again please.

That is where the problem lies. It is NOT a circular motion. Are you purposely ignoring every single post above yours here that has affirmed what I have written? You are teaching her something wrong. I did not say you are correcting us. You are incorrectly correcting Angel.

You're joking, right?

Did you not read what I quoted and put in bold?

Edit to add: small circular motion= small rotational Motion.

Are you purposely ignoring what I write?

It seems pretty clear you are looking for a fight and I'm not interested.

I will say though, I find your statement to be inflammatory. If you went back and re-read my post, you
would have taken note of the fact that I was referring specifically to the initialized signs in SEE.

I responded to you in the same manner in which you addressed me. I find it interesting that you're
trying to twist my comment as if it was a correction to you and those that responded. As I was
perfectly clear I wasn't referring to the true ASL signs for "breakfast, lunch, and dinner".

I also find it interesting that you bolded another portion of what I quoted, which wasn't what I was
referencing.

When I said "I'm sorry, but you're totally wrong" I was referring specifically to the fact that the
initialized signs in SEE are in fact a circular motion. I even pulled a quote and bolded the reference
from Lifeprint for easy viewing. That is what I was referring to- not whether or not it "taps" or
"bounces" off the chin.

Angle is learning how to sign. She was taught the initialized signs, and I was clarifying for her that the
initialized sign is a circular motion. I did not reccomend anyone use the initialized sign, people can use what they wish. Given that it seems Angle is still in the early stages, I was clarifying for her- not correcting you or any other posters.

I'd appreciate you not Twisting my comments into an insult to the Deaf posters who responded- as there were no insults or corrections to the way those are signed in ASL.

Many thanks in advance for taking the time to read what I wrote for what it is, rather than what you want it to be. :ty:

You do not take constructive criticism very well. We are all just trying to explain and show you how you can improve on teaching it the right way.

Wow...lots knickers in twists over how sign meals...can we tell is now coldest, darkest, longest stretch winter? Everyone grouchy here too.

The bitch is actually in the middle.

One thing I taught my SO is that all male signs are on the top of the face (e.g. father, dad, uncle, grandpa, brother, boy, etc.) and vice versa, all female signs are on the bottom part of the face. Hope that helps you for another time :)

Thank you....seems I've been signing...."eat, Bitch"?...oh boy!...never been called on it, tho'....:giggle:...I move my lips at the same time..so when in doubt, again, I'm gonna finger spell it.

1) there was no constructive criticism.

2) I was correct in my statement. The initialized signs in SEE are in fact a small circular motion.

I will state again what I stated before- everyone has their own signing style.

NOTHING about B, L, D is circular, rotational, NOTHING. It is a bounce/tap off the chin. What is so hard to grasp about that?

Are there other SEE signers on AD who can confirm what you're saying about circular motions?

No, No, No. You are totally in denial. You are back peddling, and you were suggesting for her to sign it in a circular motion. You know it, and we all know it.

I have seen SEE and people signing in SEE and they dont use those signs in a circular motion.

think about i am happy!!!! not work today and i relax. but i work again tomorrow and friday.

Can Angle step up to clear the air, what is she learning - ASL or SEE?
She never clarified in her posts. Posts without enough information like this causes confusion with everyone.

How many times is to many times to contact an employer over a job?? So far one email and no response that was the 21st of December. Don't want to push it but I seriously want this job!!

I raise use SEE, always use bounce initial, not circular. Sorry CSign...

No need to apologize Sunny. I'm trying to attach a picture from the SEE dictionary and it's not working. Give me a minute.

I'm thinking it's time to wear a sweater in the house!! Man, MIL's heater just can't get to the bedrooms and it's freezing in here.

Going back to the B,L,D stuff. As most of you know, I am just, still, continuing to learn ASL. I did find that the class I took was PSE. The instructor was hearing and just had a love for ASL. He taught us to use both the "tap the chin" B,L,D. He also taught the "eat + morning, noon, night" signs. He said both were totally acceptable and to realize that some people are taught to rotate or circle the initialized sign, but that it was not really accepted at all. He said it was one of the older ways to do signs and he was not sure how old. He also thinks it was a regional difference as well.

I am the opposite...my heater's thermostat is broken and it is blowing tooo much hot hot air making this house feel like a sauna. The tech is coming today between 1 to 5 PM to fix it. I was sweating in my sleep overnight which caused me to wake up with a headache.
