These men had nothing to do with 9/11. They were Americans. They were subjected to more than one security search and were cleared. And still a pilot refused to allow them on the plane.

Do you actually think that someone intent on committing an act of terrorism is going to walk into an airport looking so stereotypically Muslim? Of course not. They are going to be wearing a 3 piece suit, be clean shaven, and look for all intents and purposes like a business man. They are going to try to avoid being different, not accentuate it.

I have a very good friend who is Lebanese. A Christian Lebanese and she was held in interrogation at the airport in Chicago for 7 hours because she is Arabic. She was really traumatized by that experience.
 
So why don't they just dress up like regular people such as suits and ties and they wouldn't have to others uncomfortable about them? They can always wear their traditional clothing later when they arrive in Charlotte.

There have been American muslim terrorists. Jose Padilla. John Muhammad (Beltway sniper). Mark Fidel Kools/Asan Akbar (threw grenades into tents in Kuwait).

Shoe Bomber and Underwear Bomber are examples of why we have this.

There have been American terrorists that weren't Muslim.

The point is, these guys were checked more than once for security. The passed each time. And they were still turned away from their flight. No way you can paint this and make it appear justified.
 
It's interesting to see the fear of terrorism being this intense when they are much more likely to be murdered by a family member than dying in a terrorist attack.

I know. That is what is so astounding about it. The fear is completely out of proportion to the actual risk, and is based on stereotypes. I am reminded of the myth of the Big Black Buck.
