well it's probably because she was "crawling" on a vehicle moving at high speed.

Crawling usually involves knees. And according to the testimony the car didn't speed away until Hill was aboard. In fact Hill yells for them to go. Due to the curve in Elm St the motorcade was extremely slow at that point. So slow that Hill was able to jump off of the follow car and jump on the back of the President's car.

gggaaaaahhhh can't take it anymore!

it's not SSA.... it's USSS. SSA = Social Security Administration.
Just shortening :)

As he was trained to do. Automatic behavior. Jackie, however, had no training in how to react when her husband's brains get splattered all over her.

People panic. That prevents logical thought and action. Not to mention the neurological effects of shock.

oh oh - and dozens of recent shooting/knife stabbings in NYC... all captured in security cameras. they all ran away.... just like what Jackie did. and I think Secret Service agent was trying to grab her to secure her or something.

Yes, he was trying to secure her so she would not fall from the trunk of a speeding car, and also to shield her.

not saying you are wrong or  but it was very interesting because I've never heard of it before. I think it comes to shock for most of us because this was unheard of. I replayed video several time and I did see what you were saying. Plausible at best.

Clint Hill's testimony (Secret Service agent at back of JFK's car)
The motorcade made a right hand turn onto Elm Street. I was on the forward portion of the left running board of the follow-up car. The motorcade made a left hand turn from Elm Street toward an underpass. We were traveling about 12 to 15 miles per hour. On the left hand side was a grass area with a few people scattered along it observing the motorcade passing, and I was visually scanning these people when I heard a noise similar to a firecracker. The sound came from my right rear and I immediately moved my head in that direction. In so doing, my eyes had to cross the Presidential automobile and I saw the President hunch forward and then slump to his left. I jumped from the Follow-up car and ran toward the Presidential automobile. I heard a second firecracker type noise but it had a different sound-- like the sound of shooting a revolver into something hard. I saw the President slump more toward his left.

I jumped onto the left rear step of the Presidential automobile. Mrs. Kennedy shouted, "They've shot his head off," then turned and raised out of her seat as if she were reaching to her right rear toward the back of the car for something that had blown out. I forced her back into her seat and placed my body above President and Mrs. Kennedy. SA Greer had, as I jumped onto the Presidential automobile, accelerated the Presidential automobile forward. I heard ASAIC Kellerman call SA Lawson on the two-way radio and say, "To the nearest hospital, quick." I shouted as loud as I could at the Lead car, "To the hospital, to the hospital."

As I lay over the top of the back seat I noticed a portion of the President's head on the right rear side was missing and he was bleeding profusely. Part of his brain was gone. I saw a part of his skull with hair on it lying in the seat. The time of the shooting was approximately 12:30 p.m., Dallas time. I looked forward to the jump seats and noticed Governor Connally's chest was covered with blood and he was slumped to his left and partially covered up by his wife. I had not realized until this point that the Governor had been shot.

When we arrived at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, I jumped off the Presidential automobile, removed my suit coat and covered the President's head and upper chest with it. I assisted in lifting the President from the rear seat of the automobile onto a wheel type stretcher and accompanied the President and Mrs. Kennedy into the Emergency Room. Governor Connally had been placed in an Emergency Room across the hall.

Clint Hill's testimony (Secret Service agent at back of JFK's car)

"as if she were reaching for something" is simply a description of the way she moved, not an indiction that she was actually "reaching for something."

That is exactly what Hill was trying to do. He was assigned specifically to Jackie.

Are we going to discuss Jack Ruby, too?

Amazing the things people will interject to take the focus off the topic.

You mean like 15 year old baseless sexual harassment allegation?

Mrs. Connally.
No, he turned away from me. I was pretending that I was him. I never again looked in the back seat of the car after my husband was shot. My concern was for him, and I remember that he turned to the right and then just slumped down into the seat, so that I reached over to pull him toward me. X was trying to get him down and me down. The jump seats were not very roomy, so that there were reports that he slid into the seat of the car, which he did not; that he fell over into my lap, which he did not.
I just pulled him over into my arms because it would have been impossible to get us really both down with me sitting and me holding him. So that I looked out, I mean as he was in my arms, I put my head down over his head so that his head and my head were right together, and all I could see, too, were the people flashing by. I didn't look back any more. The third shot that I heard I felt, it felt like spent buckshot falling all over us, and then, of course, I too could see that it was the matter, brain tissue, or whatever, just human matter, all over the car and both of us.
I thought John had been killed, and then there was some imperceptible movement, just some little something that let me know that there was still some life, and that is when I started saying to him, "It's all right. Be still."
Now, I did hear the Secret Service man say, "Pull out of the motorcade. Take us to the nearest hospital," and then we took out very rapidly to the hospital.
Just before we got to Parkland, we made a right-hand turn, he must have been going very fast, because as he turned the weight of my husband's body almost toppled us both.

why? do you know why Obama isn't even trying hard to campaign this early like what Bush did for his 2nd term?

Obama's just chillin' and gellin' because everybody knows who's gonna win and so do Newt and Cain.

*sniff sniff* Am I smelling fear in here???

Not sure what fear smells like - never experienced it before.

Mrs. Connally.
He did not say anything. Mrs. Kennedy said, the first thing I recall her saying was, after the first shot, and I heard her say, "Jack, they have killed my husband," and then there was the second shot, and then after the third shot she said, "They have killed my husband. I have his brains in my hand," and she repeated that several times, and that was all the conversation.

That plus the Hill and Jenkins testimony I provided earlier not to mention the frame by frame video which shows no more than the upper torso leaving the passenger's compartment lead me to believe she was trying to retrieve something.

But again it's just a guess.

then I fear you. I also fear people who have no fear.

If we take the generally accepted definition of bravery as a quality which knows no fear, I have never seen a brave man. All men are frightened. The more intelligent they are, the more they are frightened. -General Patton

but then again.... it must be nice and easy to be brave from a safe distance... :dunno2:

In what polls? The Republican funded ones?:laugh2:

I don't think that is part of your wedding vows knowing what do when your husband head it shot off in front of you! I can't believe people are judging a dead woman for how she acted when her husband is dying on her lap! Let them both RIP! And I heard some people think it was the driver of their car that shot JFK too. This is one of the many theories of how he was killed , it was showed on TV some years back.
