I think CBS was caught with their hands in the cookie jar. In any debate (Democrats and Republicans) among candidates running for president, each candidate should be deserving on getting a more or less equal number of opportunities to speak or "equal time." Yet, CBS was intent on micro-managing the debate by pushing out lesser supporting candidates by not asking as many questions. That's not how a debate works. Below is an email portion from CBS that was accidentally sent to "everybody" when a return email was sent to "reply all" talks about Bachman and that spokeswoman Alice Stewart for Bachman had “inadvertently received” from CBS earlier in the day:

“Okay let’s keep it loose though since she’s not going to get many questions and she’s nearly off the charts in the hopes that we can get someone else,” Dickerson replied, apparently unaware that Stewart was copied on the email.

They were trying to protect her from looking stupid.

Seriously, the Repubs are just full of conspiracy theories. They are like a bunch of kids on a playground. "That wasn't fair! He got 2 pieces of candy and I only got one!"

Oh Bachmann, everyone knows her campaign is over except for her. She should be grateful she wasn't asked a lot of questions to answer though, after all, why would she want to embarrass herself any further like Perry did?

So, each candidate should not get equal time in responding in a debate forum? Isn't the whole idea is to offer a broad range of ideas for the voters to consider?

Since this thread is about CBS, do you think CBS would in a million years do a report on the Smallpox vaccines that Obama has ordered the government to purchase from a company controlled my one of his major donors? The USA has a plentiful supply of smallpox vaccine for all Americans and smallpox is nearly wiped out worldwide. So, obviously, there is no logical reason to make the purchaser, that is if you don't include payback too a major donor. MM has buried this.

How does that relate to the questions I asked in post #4?

No doubt. This is like deja vu from a few years ago.:laugh2:

Dude, can you manage to stay on topic in one single thread?

The candidate has to be capable of having an idea before it can be offered.:giggle:

Uh, no you aren't. This is about Bachman, not vaccines and Obama.

The first three letters of the OP are C-B-S
Your speed reading does not help you, slow down and read right then you will start making more sense

That's your problem. You only read the first 3 letters! No, rolling, you have to read the whole post to get the context of what it is about.

"caught with their hands in the cookie jar"
"equal number of opportunities"
"intent on micro-managing"

All refer to CBS, so I win, you lose
Don't be a sore loser

Where are the orderlies? Do they know you are playing on the computer again?

I would ask the OPoster, kpkonut, to make a ruling on this but since he already has (post #7) I'll just start my victory lap.
This is where you exit stagedoor-left after nicely saying "good night"

This is about CBS attempt to pick and choose which questions go to the candidates. Bachman got the short end of the stick with hardly any questions. Read my title: "CBS purposely leaves out candidates during debates." Note the plural for "candidates"? If anyone had watched the debate you could tell Santorum didn't get much questions tossed his way, either. I provided the money shot where CBS got caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
