Does Day Light Saving Really Save Energy??

2 words - who cares?

just accept it and have an extra hour of sleep.
 
LOL last summer i run around 545 am and it was dim that was going to get bright. I like it. Now it is still dark till 7 am I hate it. so i dont mind having one hour back so i can run early in morning as long as it is going to get bright in morning. I have so many errands during late morning and afternoon and kids activities. like jiro said an extra hour of sleep is nice. :dunno2:
 
Fall back is easier to adjust than spring forward. I woke up and my clock said 745 but it is really 645. I love it.

Spring forward...grrrrrr

We're being told to turn our clocks 2x a year to help save energy , I would love to know if we're really saving energy or it this is some lie the government is telling us. I can see the government will have no trouble with you when it want to take more of your rights away! I do not just accept what the government tell us to do!
 
I don't observe these changes. No; I am observing what is known on the farm as chicken time.

Actually it was Benjamin Franklin's idea for daylight savings time.

I think the whole is a waste of time! If I want an extra hour of sleep I can just sleep one hour longer! I do not need to change the time on my clock for that.

Then that all more why we should stop doing this! We do not use candles any more! This is so out dated it not funny! I looked this up and was done to cut down the uses of candles!!!
 
I prefer daylight savings but hell don't whine.. 4 months will go by faster.. and daylight savings return on sunday march 11th 2012 .. hey don't blame me cuz I looked up on google calendar.. :lol:

Well, I've seen middle school students wait for the bus early in the morning and it is dark out there. I haven't heard any kidnapping or whatever from that. It doesn't make much difference at all. I prefer to keep the time same as it is. It's basically obsolete today because it originally was used for farming purposes back in the early days. The days have been numbered.
 
Well actually the farmers would get up with or without a clock, they had work to do for themselves- if it didn't get done they would suffer, it was people that had contracts...

8:00 - 5:00 'work stops at nightfall' - that they changed time around...

Today business lights and house lights stay on all the time anyway it seems...
