What good thing happened to you today?

I slept in late and I feel so much better. Thanks to DH! I'm so lucky!

Sadly, the only things I can say that was good today, is that I can at least shuffle along to get from here to there. I can get vertical for a short time. I am thinking about that and trying hard not to dwell on the negative today.

 You need it more than I do.

One more good thing!! Hubby felt so bad, that even though we can't really afford it, he is going to McD's to get dinner for all of us. I don't have to cook.

The rain stopped just as I was leaving the house to get in the car and take MIL to the hair dresser. It started up again while we were inside and then stopped again so we could get back home without getting wet. Wasn't that great!!!

Kristina B, I understand your frustration. I beat myself up because I think that I "should" be able to do more. I need to work on making my expectations more realistic and banning the word "should" from my vocabulary. I do what I can do.

I finally got the freakin' laundry done! That is an excellent thing!

I am still working on mine! Only 3 more loads to go until next weekend. Technically I can go up to two weeks without having to do laundry, but I just don't like having a MASSIVE amount to do that takes up the better part of the weekend to complete. I want to be able to sit back and relax some too.

LOL, I keep asking my DD if the washer and dryer are still running as I can't hear them. I think she gets agitated sometimes.

Set a vibrating timer on your iPhone. That way you know just when it is done and don't have to ask anybody.

I would but our washer is one of those new fangled ones that it determines the dirtiness of your laundry through boocoos of sensors and adjusts the number of cycles accordingly. Sometimes it's done in 20 minutes, other times it takes up to an hour and ten minutes.

I hate it, but it's what my parents bought and I get to use it free of charge so I can't complain.

*off to check laundry*

Saw that Alvin is still alive.

Yep, my honey named the chipmunk. He wants to put up a 2-inch high mailbox for his little hidey-hole.

I just met Miss Arkansas and managed to get an autographed photo of her for my DD.

My mom just got a letter from her job (she's out on disability at the moment) saying that they were having economic trouble and offering a bonus type thing, and compensation, for people who voluntarily left the company.

Sounds bad, but the compensation they're offering my mom should she take their offer will pay our mortgage for three months, and it's the answer to our prayers. She wasn't thinking she was able to go back anyways, and now she's getting paid to do what she was going to do regardless.....and we're starting up a new business franchise thing that's going to be really helpful.

Just when we were freaking out about money...this comes along.

I won in my fanasty football league tuhday snapped 3 game losin' streak.
