Boy did I get the cold shoulder treatment from Marty!

I brought Marty to the groomer Monday and he did not want to me leave him there, he tried to hold onto my arm with his paws! I had him stay for play group too. When I picked Marty up he was really happy to see so I thought he was not mad at me. Wrong!! When we got home he would not let me pat or hold him! And when it was time to go to bed Marty was on the bed but as soon as I got into bed he jumped off!! I was so insulted! Marty did not get on the bed the whole night! When I took him for a walk today Marty did not look at me once! He will look at me least time on our walks! He really gave me the cold shoulder treatment!! He has forgiven me , but I never had a dog stay mad me so long!! I was in the dog house big time!!

Personality! Dogs are such great communicators. :lol:
 
I also think he loves you a lot, and is afraid of losing you.
 
Whenever I take my little Anita to the groomers, she doesn't wanna go either....seperation anxiety....she would "pout" when we got home....

So what I did, I would arrive back at the groomers 15-20 minutes early before picking her up...just letting her see me there. It seemed to help somewhat. She has me wrapped around her little paw and she knows it. Whenever I pick up my car keys, she runs to the door.....
 
Awww. Scratch those little soft ears! How sweet to hold onto you!
 
aww He sounds like he has a strong personality. Is he feeling better today after a few days later?

Marty slept on the floor last night too, so I guess I was still in the dog house with him! Marty did jump on the bed in the morning and laid on my chest and put his little sweet face on mine so I guess he not mad at me anything more!
Whew woo! I don't want to cross that dog again! He sure know how to give you a COLD shoulder treatment!! I been joking about voting for Marty as president, I think he has my vote for sure now!! He does know how to get a point across! LOL!!

I had Marty go to play group too as I when out with my famliy for the day and did not want to be left at home alone. I think Marty thought I was giving him up and not coming back for him! Poor little doggie! He is part poodle and they do not forget when something bad happen to them! The next time I will just have Marty do playgroup when I am going out for the day.
 
:lol: So, does this mean you will be doing the grooming from now on?
