The old stand-by, boiled chicken with rice, moistened with low-sodium chicken broth, if they have upset tummies.
Other than that, we feed "Purina One" that is the chicken/rice combo (canned food available at grocery store), mixed with Purina "Beneful" dry food. We fed some premium food for a while (Natural Harmony or Nature's Harmony, something like that - expensive!) but since we use only about a tablespoon of canned food mixed in with the dry, we found that the left-over food in the can very quickly got an "off" odor (within a day).
Probably the grocery store stuff has more preservatives, which I'm not crazy about, but they seem to do the job.
For the record, none of the three poodles I've owned are particularly fussy eaters. They eat what they are given, almost always.
There was one food we tried when Casey was young (also a premium food) that he did not care for. Other than that, of the normal canned food you can buy anywhere, the only one that neither of them liked was the venison. Casey even threw up afterwards, while Pippin - who normally will do ANYTHING for food - took one sniff, turned around and looked at me, like "WHAT are you giving me, mom?"
Definitely not a hit.
