I've seen this before and its true. Amazing how the brain reads and interprets, isn't it.
 
the same is true for fingerspelling, sometimes if i don't know how to spell someone's name AND i don't know their sign, then i just make sure i mouth the name and get most of the letters in using the first and last letter where they are supposed to be. and no one knows :)
