I am not celebrating 9-11

My city had Honor a Hero this weekend. There a field of flags and people could honor a love one that dies in 9 11 or a veteran. The some money when to an organization to stop child abused. I got a flag to honor a friend that was an Army Sergeant in Koran war. He was a POW for years and he dies last year.
I made my check out to stop child abuse and to honor my friend who was a hero.

Do we have a rememberance day for the Oklahoma City bombings? It feels like that one is becoming a distant past while 9/11 seems so fresh in my mind.

I've not heard/seen of that scene. The lobby you mentioned -- was that Ground Floor? So they got off not realizing the towers had been hit? Wow !!!!

Yup....It shocks the firefighters too because they couldnt get the elevators to work and they are trying to call the elevators.....then out of the blue....Ding

It's available on iTunes now. It's by far the best Doc I have seen about 9/11. The 2 brothers that did the Doc were doing a film about rookie firefighters and just happened to be there. They were on a routine call checking for gas smells from a manhole cover when the first plane hits. It's the only footage of the first plane.

In addition to the news network specials, we watched the special produced by the French brothers who filmed the original footage of the first plane hitting the Tower while they were making a documentary about a firefighter. It was called 9/11: Ten Years Later, narrated by Robert Deniro, on CBS. It

I had this on my Tivo as well.....I didn't realize it when I posted last night......It's basically the same thing I have on tape for the first 83 minutes but everything after that is new. The follow-ups on the firefighters are all new.

Does anyone care about the hundreds of thousands of innocent Afghani and Iraqi children, women, and men who have died as a result of our blind rage in pursuing the perpetrators of terrorism?

Human life is important no matter what. I am sorry for the life lost in NYC 10 years ago, but I think we should be thinking about a lot of other incidents and unfortunates before we go treating this day like it's the only thing that matters in the history of the world.

What about all the lives that were saved from the Taliban's blind rage due to our intervention? Or, are you gonna say America deserved to have 3000 innocent lives lost?

and what about serial shootings by DC sniper?

simple - it's probably because we weren't attacked by Muslims or foreigners.

And what about the terrorists using their women and children as human shields. This is one reason the women and children are getting killed. The problem fighting the terrorists is that they believe in an eye for and eye and tooth for tooth philosophy. They will never surrender !

at the cost of hundred of thousands lives killed by collateral damage? a very painful cost to save a few lives

I love how you want to word it to make us looks like shitty unpatriotic bunch. well then let me ask you this in the same manner - Are you cool with sacrificing hundreds of thousands of innocents in the name of liberation and revenge for our 3,000 Americans?

I'm only going to say this once, for all you people who are condoning murder.

The ends NEVER justify the means.

Saddam Hussein killed, tortured and maimed his own people.

Live Free or Die. I am not wording anything to make anyone appear to be unpatriotic, I was simply asking a question (that still hasn't been answered).

Neither does the US Military. That is what military tribunals are for. If a soldier is charged with murder, they are given a fair trial.
