Hello!

My name is Amanda I'm a hearing college student majoring in deaf education. One of my assignments for my ASL 4 class is to have an interview over skype or VP with a deaf person age 55+. If you are able to help me complete my assignment I would be very grateful! It's a short interview, not even a full page of questions. Very general things about deaf culture and a bit on your background. Any help would be great. Thank you!

If you are studying deaf ed, why are you interviewing someone 55+? I would suggest going to your local Deaf socials and making a friend that is willing to be interviewed.

Here in Houston, we have a Senior Citizen (55+) group of 200+ members whom meet twice a month. So find out if your location also might have a group and then attend once, ours would welcome you.

I take it that it is not her idea but what her class assignment is.

Up to this point we have done all of our interviews with student ages, but for this assignment my teacher wants us to get a different perspective to see how much things have changed for deaf people over the years.

I am from Florida, St Augustine to be exact, and have met a few older people at deaf socials but unfortunately do not have time to find contact with them, so I was hoping to be able to find someone on here that may be able to get it done sooner. The other group only meets once a month!

Thank you all for your replies!

It is Due September 20th. Sorry should have added that in, lol. I would like to have the interview finished by at least the 15th to have time to prepare a paper, record the questions and answers in our language lab, and present it to the class by the 20th.

I'm sorry that nothing to help you.

I don't understand. Profile looks normal to me. Just someone new. What have I missed? Please advise.

Bottesini: Hard to keep up to you.

Being a bit over 55-didn't consider being part of a "unseniors discussion" - haven't VIOP/SKYPE-just a quiet computer.

I remembered you again today-another cool 5 laps.
Cheers
