bleeding ear?

Ash, how are you? Any update?

Glad to hear this news.

My husband ruptered his ear drum years ago - (accident: he was playing catcher in a softball game, and the guy on third ran into him while charging home. Being a good ol' British boy, he had no idea how to play baseball and didn't realize he needed to keep an eye on the man on third!)

Anyway, it did heal with no further problems. I think it took about a month.

went in to the doc today... still had a high fever (101.2) even though I've been switching between ib profin and Tylenol every 4 hours... having to go back again next week to check on it again. I was put on a different antibiotic... "Augmentin" for the next 2 weeks to be sure that there is no more infection, and that the infection dies (its still there)... Thank you all for the concern... hopefully I will stop hurting (she gave me more pain meds :) )

she said thankfully the other one hasn't ruptured yet... but could see it was bulging. I need to schedule an apt with my audi sometime... donno if it should be before it finishes healing or if i should do it soon... (I haven't been able to hear ANYTHING from that ear since sat... though this isn't necessarily a bad thing)

get a long thin dental tool and pop your other drum to relieve it of the pressure. you'll feel great.

** This advice is given to you from an armchair doctor with no cred. **

Probably after it finishes healing. She really can't do anything for you if you have an active infection going on.

donno if i am going to do it... it the pressure gets worse then yes... but hopefully the more pain meds will help... the 5 the urgent care doc game me just didn't last long enough...
