Man Claims He Lost His Job For Refusing To Wear Skimpy Suit

LONG BEACH, N.Y. -- A 61-year-old lifeguard is suing after he says he lost his job for refusing to wear a Speedo during an annual swim test.

Roy Lester claims he was forced out of the job at Jones Beach in 2007 because he preferred his more modest bike shorts to the form-fitting, skimpy swimsuit, The New York Daily News reported.

He sued the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation in 2009, claiming age discrimination. The lawsuit was dismissed, but an appeals court revived it last week.

"I wore a Speedo when I was in my 20s," Lester told the Daily News. "But come on. There should be a law prohibiting anyone over the age of 50 from wearing a Speedo."

State officials declined to comment.

 It would save all of us from the shock of seeing an old man in speedos. Tell the old man to come to Florida and he will fit right in......

I agree with his comment.. I think any hairy old man should be banned from wearing speedos.

I remmy seeing this old man at Jax Beach late in the evenings wearing a thong...could tell he did a lot of walking, he was in shape and all, but his white hair gave away everything....

Saw a lot of men over 50 years old wearing speedos at Las Vegas when we used the pool. My son asked me "Why are these old men wearing their underwear?"

There was one man who appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s who was in great shape and was wearing speedos. My brother's girlfriend and I spent a portion of the day just commenting and drooling over him.

It is interesting how a couple decades ago a 60 year old would be considered "old," but not today. More power to him, I say: nothing beats experience.

It depends.. If the guy is good looking, and hair and junk not hanging out. :cool2:

:laugh2: :laugh2: And don't forget the balls!...I can't stand that. It's OK if the junk is bulging out, but not hanging out...Saw a guy with a bathing suit so small that when he sat down his penis "peeked out" of his swimsuit at the top....
