Haha I mispelled brakes. Lot of people mispell that word alot.

Anyway, my car makes lot of noises when stopping at lower speeds. The pads are fine, about 60% left. Im suspecting its the rotors wearing out. The shop didnt check that part when I told them to find why its making that annoying noise. I dont think the rotors are good enough for a resurface job, probably gotta get new rotors. They arent warped as it stops smoothly but makes annoying vibrations and noises.

Lift your car up and shake the front tires to make sure it's tight. If it's loose then probably bad tie rod or bearing or joint ball. Send your car to shop and they should take care of that.

If your steering was vibration DURING you hold the brake at ANY speed then the front rotors/pads need to replace.

If no steering vibration and only happen at low speed then probably bad front tires. Try tires rotation.

Better send your Honda to shop as soon as possible or your Honda will get more damage.

Thats the problem, costs money, money to fix it. It says need special tool to repack the bearings. I dont know if a bearing can make that much noise.

Let me repeat this in a clear manner.

-the loud noise only happens when braking at a lower speed....not from high speed...it starts to make that noise when it reach a lower speed or something.
-I don't know if the wheel bearings makes noise while cruising or accelerating.
-The steering feels tight, not loose. If it was...it would not go straight on the highway or pull left or right...also show excessive and uneven tire wear.
-The tires were installed last year November.
-Last note...stupid money!

Hmmm, no I haven't thought of that before. It might be squealy-happy, it gets louder when it's warmer in the day but quieter in cooler mornings.

That type of squealing you describe is probably from vibration. When you get on the brakes heavier, the pressure eliminates the vibration.

Same problems with other cars, same problem with my Honda Civic that my son who complaint the brake noises, I found nothing wrong with the pads (about 60% left) and saw little scores on the rotor surfaces then I decided to turning the rotors and replaced new pads. Noise gone.

Anti-squeal spray can not help the brake noises much. I use anti seize thread or synthetic moly high temp paste to coating the contact points and rubber slide lube to coating the caliper's slide bushings/bolts.

Well, Like many customers who drop their vehicles for brake inspections and other service requests. Most complaints were brake noises. we performed brake inspections and found nothing wrong with the brakes, notified customers,
and explained to them about the brake noises as normal. Some of them want new pads/shoes or re machining the rotors or replace rotors. Some of them take their vehicles to the previous shops where they did brake jobs. I 've been seen fresh pads still make noise after brake jobs like we did them before.
Maybe they didnt tell you the brake noises as they know something like too thin rotors or defective new pads or cheap pads when they did brake job in you car. Always smooth talk, and get a rid of the complaints. Try to take your car to another shop to see if there is problem with the brakes, you still pay for it.

How do you know the pad life is 60%? If you look at the pad by peek thru the wheel holes (openings), from what you see the pad inside the caliper, is outboard pad, but the inboard pad that you can't see it inside the caliper, the wear is about 20% than the outboard pad, you know that. I've seen them many times.
