Trade Secrets: Something the general public wouldnt know about your job.

My job as a teacher...

children usually behave differently at school than they do with their parents. Usually it is them being more well-behaved and respectful at school than at home. Probably due to the structured environment.

This is based on my experience from what I have seen and meetings with parents about how their children are at home.

I think this will be interesting!

I work in a luxury hotel and what most people wouldn't know is:
The items most often left behind and never picked up again are:

-Half Full Alcohol bottles (spirits mainly)
-Iphone charger cables
-Sex toys (from tame to out-of-this-world kinky) and porn mags.

I hope you are giving rubber gloves to wear at your job! One of daughter girlfriend worked at motel one summer cleaning up the rooms and while she was making a bed she did not know there was vomit in the bed and touched it with her bare hands!! GROSS! My daughter had a job there too and they were not given rubber gloves !

That I have to deal with aggressive roosters and in defending myself against these beastly fowl, PETA would likely scream 'abuse'. Thing is, the company the supplies these roosters KNOWS these are the most aggressive roosters they have bred and choose to use these in breeding broiler chickens that grow larger more rapidly.

when I was health aid , I do not think people would know you can get farted on while giving someone a bath!

Is the persons suffering from Dementia/alzheimers discussed in another thread?

I am a clerk in a mail room. The cost of the flat rate boxes is not a good deal most of the time unless you mail very heavy items. You can often save up to half the cost by using regular mail which goes on the same plane as as the priority boxes.
You can mail almost any large item, domestic or foreign, cheaper by printing your postage online on the post office website.

I used to work in a hotel (Worst Western) as a laundry attendant back in 2000 and one of my co-workers (housekeeper) told me that normally they do not bother to clean the insides of light fixtures in the ceilings and on the walls but that one day they were ordered by our boss to clean the insides of the light fixtures because we were going through a deep and thorough inspection from the higher ups people from the corporation therefore they had to clean from top to bottom and inside out and she and the other housekeepers were cleaning one room and they were cleaning the light fixtures on the walls when they found dildos in there! Gross! Apparently there was a couple who would ask for and use the same room on a regular and frequent basis who would keep (hide) the dildos in the light fixtures. They were having affairs behind their wife/husband's backs and did not want to bring the "evidence" home! The housekeepers were uber-grossed out! I snickered at them! Thank goodness I no longer work at Worst Western, cause I hated doing the laundry! I quit the job there shortly afterwards because I had just been hired at a full time job doing prep and assembly and the pay was better, and the job at the hotel was a temporary part-time job that didn't pay much. BTW we passed the inspection!

Not all eggs are created equal, nor all chickens created equal.

We don't have dedicated IT support. Long story short: misconceptions of our program and handling IT issues were a major headache for them later so a small number of us are maintaining a complex network of spreadsheets as a massive database glued together with lots of revisions (to roles and functions of people and data) and maintaining macros.

We also think 80% accuracy is a good target area for accounting purposes.

We waste a lot of paper because managers don't realize a lot of digital processes already cover it.

They should have left a note. "We found your toys. We want $10,000 in small bills or we will forward the evidence to your respective spouses."

I faced one picky customer who kept complaining that the window shutter comes with different color when it is facing the sun light. It was normal for that type of paint/wood do change the color facing the sun light. Customer request to remake window shutter (company lose another $4,000) and then of course customer is keeping the current ones. Customer did ask me to install one of his shutters in the french doors at his basement. I rejected his request, and reported to my boss. My former boss told me that "Customer is always right".

My boss act fake as he love customers, but all he want money from customers, and to keep his company in a positive feedback and reputation by customer's spread mouth to mouth to others. My boss would rather to lose his employers than customers. It sucks, but that's how my boss did to several my former co-workers. Sad.

Customer is always right is full of bullsh*t.
