I heard John is going marry his mistress and that his kids will live with them.
I really bad for the kids! Good for Elizabeth for cutting the S O B out of her will!
 
Reba, it's not easy being the kid of the second relationship either, as I'm sure you understand. I'm that person and it raises a lot of issues. The new child and the children from the marriage are siblings and will have some sort of relationship. I hope that all of the children get professional help to sort out all of their feelings, including the adult children. It's going to be a challenge for everyone.

As a child of divorced parents who remarried other people, and having to live in both households, including step-siblings, I do have some experience in "awkward" situations.

Each family's dynamics are unique, so none of us can truly know their situation. I simply presented one possibility.

We can make an educated guess based on what we know of human nature. No doubt in my mind what so ever that his children are not as judgemental as are you regarding his sexual adventures. And with him being their only remaining parent, they are certainly going to need to cling to him for security.

More harm is being done by the judgemental attitudes being expressed by others against their father than could be done by their living with their parent.

Agreed. It is always a challenge, and when it has to be done in public, as this case, even more issues have to be dealt with that normally would not be present.

Challenge to be sure, but challanges, when met and dealt with, create stronger, more tolerant, understanding, and loving people.
