Not sure what is going on, but for some reason, all of a sudden, I am getting blurred vision and having blue spots dancing in my eyes. Right now, I am seeing at least 15 blue spots on the screen as I type this.

Looks like I get to see the doc again. :(

it is pronounced if you're looking at bright light. computer monitor too.

I started while I was driving home (pitch black outside) from the gas station. I am very careful and use my sunglasses when outside in the daytime, even on cloudy days. And, I take frequent breaks from looking at my monitor. Learned that early on when I had my first computer back in the 80's.

I'd get that checked out. An eye doctor first, probably.

Please go get that checked asap!

Floaters are a possible sign that the retina is tearing. If the floaters all of a sudden dramatically increase, it means the retina is completely torn and you need immediate surgery to restore your vision.

Please see your eye Dr to rule out a retinal tear. Keep us posted!

I had floaters in my left eye and just ignored it until I had blindness. I found out from the specialist that a floater or floaters are a warning sign that the retina is detaching. I wouldn't wait too long.. your eyes are important.

Exactly, MB.

It happened to a friend of mine....twice. Luckily for her, partial vision was restored, but she's not without some loss of vision now. Her detachments were the result of a heritery eye disease and prematurity. She was a micro-preemie and her retinas are paper thin to start with. In her case, the retinal tears will keep happening until they can't repair anymore and she'll go totally blind.

In most cases, however, this is preventable!

If anyone is experiencing floaters, they should have it checked out immediately to prevent serious loss of vision.

It's normal to see a floater or two at all times if you are looking at a bright wall, screen, etc. However, 15 is not just a couple of floaters, you need to see the doctor.

Gonna make a doctor's appt. ASAP myself....I've never seen "blue spots"...what I have ever so often is.......white and very wiggly...as if static electricity...comes and goes!....

Seems my own eyes have worsened this past year...and I only wear glasses when reading. And have to have sunglasses whenever I go outside, (very blue eyes)...and the glare of the sun or any bright lights give me headaches.

Saw the doctor today. No major issue. He seems to think it's due to extreme tiredness, but I will be seeing another eye doctor for a 2nd opinion. Have not had the problem today, but we will see. MIL is trying to see if her opthamologist (sp?) is willing to see me. We shall see and I will keep you posted.
