I recently got these chat messages in FB from my friend list, telling me to contact James Winner and now, John Smith who are agents to help deaf and hard of hearing people. These agents will give me $500,000 delivered to my home. Has this happen to you?

It happen last week and today.

I recently got a chat message from some "deaf lady" telling me about the deaf lottery and a harry, kept insisting I should contact harry and win the deaf lottery! erm... turns out this person stole info and pics from the REAL deaf lady and was trying to scam deaf folks. I didn't believe the person at all when she told me she and some of her deaf friends won the deaf lottery and blocked her.

CD Meggers, that is the exact same thing is happening to me. My deaf friend got her fb stolen and pretend to be scammer to give me $500,000. I don't believe that someone can just give away money in the tough economic times.

YES! :P

Recently I had to ask an old classmate of mine some questions to figure out the who the real Ailson was cuz I had two Alisons on my friends list with the same exact name. I'm very happy knowing the real Alison would never do a thing like what the fake Alison did with me with the obama scam. I took the fake Alison off my friend list.

Two people -one of them my big sister- had to ask questions to figure out who the real me was.

Deafskeptic, I had the exact problem two people with the same name on friend list found out afterways. I am glad its not only me getting this. Its pretty creepy.

Scammers everywhere...sucks but true...if it sounds to good to be true...usually is...

How would you like it if a scammer rip you off by telling you lies? Lying to someone like me make me piss off if I find out it was not true or could see what the scammer is trying to fool me. And first of all, what do you mean if it sounds too good to be true....usually is? It is not good at all. Eh?

Scammers are really a problem at Facebook. There is a deaf group that alerts about scammers, and it is on my friends list, so I do see a lot of the scammers.

Several have tried with me with deaf lottery, or Marc Zuckerber founder of Facebook wants to give you money.

I always just report them.

I think it is Hand Alphabet Charts and then says Deaf Group of Scam Alert

Yes, I think it is them. I have them also in my friends list and get lots of notes regarding spammers/scammers.

My parents want to know if I can report the scammer who's impersonating me to the police or if I can get in trouble because of the person impersonating me. They think I should report this to the local police station.

I'm not sure how to respond to my parents cuz I have no idea how to explain stuff like this to them.
