Juptier got hit AGAIN!

Care to explain? :)

lol ok. I was just being nice and polite to you :) but since you want me to explain.... my usual reply would be -

who cares?

Cost too much. Plus what would we learn

Yes, it is causing too much money to investigate and collect data plus survey (?). And you mentioned that you requested two or three satellites and that is a whopping trillion of dollars. Get real and like Jiro said "who cares".

We need the money to take care of ourselves right here on Earth, not out in space. We are having problem with lots of problems (war, hunger and broke plus violence that they don't know how to make peace) all over the world. So don't think about Space.

Hmmm ... what if we get hit by an asteroid that size? Will anyone care then?

Probably not .... everyone would be dead.

That is true, no one want to die but what choice do we have when it comes with a lot of money that we can not afford. Our world is in trouble.

It would be great if we can stop the asteroids from hitting on our planet, Earth. I don't know if Star Wars weapons could help to blow up the Asteroids out in space away from Earth. I am not a scientist. Is that possible? :hmm:

I was reading .... somewhere .... about NASA having a program which specifically tracks meteors. One is supposed to hit Earth, according to their prediction, in 2017. It will wipe out life as we know it.

They have no way to divert it .... currently.

Most likely everyone who isn't on the ISS or who can't afford space travel will be dead, so if that happens, then it happens.

I'll probably be dead before realizing what happened.

Not gonna bother freaking out about that.
Hype is what gets to people.

I can't find the specific article I was reading, but herer is another one that was supposed to hit in 2029 - however, more accurate predictions say that one won't hit the earth (quite possibly because the one in 2017 will shatter the earth and there will be no earth for the one in 2029 to hit) :hmm:

Radar Observations Refine the Future Motion of Asteroid 2004 MN4

I am kidding ... take all this with a grain of salt. :D

The meteorite that caused this crater was the size of a bus when it entered the atmosphere, and burned down to the size of a pillow when it hit.

Arizona used to be covered in water ...... :hmm:

I say let the people of Jupiter take care of it!!!!!
