Obama is a minimalist. He does things minimally in order to look like he's actually doing something but he isn't really. A few photo ops here and there. A couple beer summits. A 30 minute talk with Brewer after saying he wouldn't/couldn't see her and calling her actions "misguided" earlier. See the pattern? He's playing people as dupes.

I disagree with you and Obama isn't minimalist to me. He can do it.

Remember, immigrant issue is federal matters, not state.

what Joe the Plumber doesn't know is that his solution will cause us to plummet into decades of debt because the cost of solution is astronomical.

Yup, send enough guys down there to completely seal the line, not a soldier per mile as, not only is that ineffective, it is probably downright dangerous. How'd ya like to be down there, knowing the nearest guard's a mile away? Don't forget the tunnels, too....
 
Which countries have better immigration law and very low or zero illegal immigrant population?

The federal govt has not been doing their jobs! States are left to fend for themselves in many cases.

so when the states are going to do their job with the violent/drug crimes like Detroit? DC? Chicago? Dallas? Memphis? Richmond? Jacksonville? Miami? etc

I'd say that seeing several thousand illegal aliens cross the border illegally every week for many years is a clear and surest sign that the Fed. government isn't doing their job. Pretty obvious. It'd be dishonest of anybody to deny this. This is in fact a national security issue, an issue that the Fed govt failed to address for decades.

Yup......but triple layer tha fence.....50 ya spacing......filled with razor wire....that might just do the trick. Not opposed to mines either. It's only inhumane if people break the rules. Heck even electrify the middle section of fence. :)

Have it built by prisioners and illegal immigrant detainees.

And when all of these measures are complete we won't need many troops. The Board Patrols Job will be much easier.

Which ones? The fact that illegal aliens cross our borders illegally by the thousands every week for years? What is it then? 10 a week or what?
