Over pot????

This is ridiculous and not only that, the cops are the ones that is endangering the kids while raiding the house with guns and they have the gall to charge the parents of child endangerment.

Then what makes me even more madder is that they shot and killed 2 family dogs, pit bull and corgi(?!). They were not attacking the officers, actually they were more scared of the cops than the cops were of them. But that still doesn't give the right for the cops to kill their family pets and traumatized the children in the process. Now they're gonna hate the cops even worse and the cops doesn't care.

These pot laws needs to be repealed. There are many innocent and tax paying citizens who doesn't bother anybody nor commit felony crimes against other citizens whose lives are being destroyed over a small amount of pot.

Makes me wanna take their guns away from them and shove it up where the sun doesn't shine.

Edit: Come to find out the pets was caged in the kitchen and the cops shot them while they were in their cages. WTF????

I don't smoke pot and I've smoked it exactly once in my life and I think the law should be repealed.

Now if the parents were running a meth lab, the cops would have a case for child endangerment but this isn't the case here.

All the cops found was pot less than a gram, a pipe and a crusher. That's it, a misdemeanor charge and that justifies killing their pets that was found caged in their kitchen??? That justifies traumatizing the children when they heard their dogs screaming in pain from being shot in their cages before they put 5 more bullets into their pets to silence them???

This just makes me even more angry about police misconduct. They just don't care.

I got more choice words about them, but I'll just leave it that because all I got left is very nasty comments about their conduct that's just not worth the time mentioning them.

I remember watching a video clip of a building on fire and people jumping from it on a different site. I turned on my CI and then I could hear screaming as people burned alive in the building. It was much easier to bear watching it without the sound effects.

The cops abused their power because they know they can get away with it! If one of us shot a dog while it was in a cage we would go to jail or/and be fined for animals cruelty! I read an story in a ' Reader Digest' about cops busting into the wrong homes on drugs bust! I was going to post which month it was in , but I returned it to the library. Some cops shot people dogs during a bust and the cops had the wrong house! Book was printed in 2010 .

Fortunately, with phone cams and other means of capture video that is more common in the hands of citizens, cops are getting busted for committing serious wrongs against civilians. The videos are being uploaded almost weekly from all 50 states showing police misconducts in places like YouTube and other video outlets where thousands and even potentially millions of people can view them.

There had been talks last year about a bill to ban citizens from videotaping cops, claiming that videotaping the police is "obstructing justice". But that idea quickly died when people found out about it and bitched up a storm. Behold the power of the internet. :P

Cops hates videotapes and some are stupid enough to use their own video cameras to get themselves busted. I read reports that cops are deliberately damaging the cam housings that is mounted in the trunks of their units and claim they don't know how it got damaged. Some have access to the drives to erase or even turn off the cams (in which case they shouldn't have access to the cam files in the first place, only a Supervisor should have the ability to access the files and be the only one to turn it on and off).

Alot of cops are "arresting" civilians who videotape them for the purpose of confiscating the cams and erase it's contents and drum up false charges to "teach them a lesson not to videotape cops".

To me this goes to show that cops wants to be above the law and get away with things.

Don't get me wrong, not all cops are "dirty", but it's getting to be a problem that cops who view bad cops getting away with things to start thinking they too can do the same thing. We don't need bad cops to be a bad influence to good cops and corrupt them in the process.

old news. in NYC history back in old days when there was a massive crackdown in police force - over 60% of NYPD's Drug Enforcement Agency was corrupted and arrested.

I agree. It's high time to "clean out the closet", as it were, all the way up to the top level. We need to weed out the "weeds" from the "wheats".

We also need more watch dog groups out there to make sure the cops stays honest and encourage more civilians to stop being afraid of cops and report any misconduct that they witness.

Cops are being paid by US taxpayers and we need to make sure that each and every individual that takes on the job as being a cop is well worth our tax dollars and get rid of those who abuse the system.
