You can now get your government regulated aspirin at taxpayers expense with your government health insurance policy.

Failure to abide with this is a $2,000 fine and imprisonment.

Now dat's one Oreo-sized aspirin!

greed would be from those major corporations because they can easily afford it and most likely can find a workaround because they have a department of lawyers and experts with shrewd agenda. They are the one who will be benefiting from this health care reform because small businesses will be gone without fight. Easy competition. Easy Monopoly.

Most of small business owners pay generously to their employees/workers (beyond minimum wage) even though they have no health coverage. Do you see this kind of employer-employee compassion & generosity in big corporations? Makes you wonder why a lot of people in corporations (IKEA, Home Depot, dealership, etc.) come and go but in your local small business stores - they're same people for a long time.

I fear some small stores in my town will be gone. I go there regularly because of their family-like atmosphere and personal interaction... even though their service or products cost more than chain stores. But also - because of first-name basis and good relationship, they cut me some slack. For ie - if I were to go to Midas to change new tires that I bought from online... it would normally cost me between $50-90 per tire. At my local mechanic shop, he does it for free but I give him tips. He does it for free on some minor repairs as well. Before - I could not believe it when the dealership charged me $15 "service labor fee" just to replace the wipers (another $30). $45 total!?!?!? :mad2: I thought they would do it for free (after purchasing wipers) when I went there for routine maintenance check.

I don't trust dealerships anymore because of their blatant shrewd practice.

I fully expect the smaller guys to outsource more jobs too. It sucks but it makes sense

I know that why some states are trying to fight the this new law for being
unconstitutional!

I can agree with that. Big business is problematic when it uses the power of government to undermine competition from small business. That's part of the reason I think government power should be limited.

I don't agree with that so much. I've worked for large companies before and I was compensated quite well. If small businesses were that much more generous with compensation, why would anybody accept a job with a big business? They have to compete for labor just like any small business firm.

In my experience, people working for big companies tend to shift around from one big company to another, although many people do work for large companies for decades if not all of their careers (although not as much as in the past). If people work a long time in a small business, it could be for the same reasons one would work a long time in a large company or it could be because they own that business or feel a sense of community there.

true. but then... some are bad. some are good. But I have a concern for local small businesses in my town.

some small businesses are not as generous as I claimed. It may be cuz of the state they're in.

That's true - but what business will hire someone who is a criminal?

Its a crime to NOT have health insurance coverage.

As of today, if you do not have health insurance, you are a Federal Criminal.

Fact: Walmart and Telephone Relay Services.

Greed? Do you realize how many small businesses fail? Do you realize the type of innovation new business has brought to this country?

The economy is mostly run by small businesses. After 5 years more than 50% of the businesses go under. After 10 years, it drops down to 70%, the remaining still running. With the extra taxes and mandatory insurance, this will only speed up the rate of business failures. This puts a whole new definition and category to the meaning of "miserable failure."

It isn't greed when the owner of a business just want to earn himself that $40,000, $80,000 or even $150,000 a year. It's called making a living. He/she is the one who takes the risk in running and operating a business. He/she is the one who risked in making a business venture by taking out a $200,000, $400,000 or even $1,000,000 business loan. The people who work there ought to be thankful for the owner in taking that risk. But Obama sure has a strange way of thanking small businesses by punishing them further and make it even more harder to survive.

I have friends that own their own business'. They dont like the health care bill....

...wanna know why?

Because they fear it will put them out of business.......they will lose their source of income and be in debt.....

and their employees will be part of the unemployment list...

Think about it....

In order to make a profit and pay for insurance, small business' will more than likely try to raise the prices of their products just to make ends meet. Then again, with the high prices, they more than likely will lose customers. If they thought it was worse before because of the unemployment rate, it's going to be even worse now.

Why do people think that small business' are all about taking money when owners have to put it back INTO the business...paying the wages, paying to replace inventory, paying bills to keep it warm, cold and have electricity and TAXES; property tax, income tax, social security tax, oh lets not forget...Property insurance tax....and what if something breaks down? They have to pay for a service to come in and fix it....plus TAX!

Small businesses closing = people without jobs=unemployment percentage rising

Its got nothing to do with greed...

My boyfriend worked for a greedy owner. They did not offer benefits, they did not offer paid time off, his bonus' for the years he worked there, they took ALL of it, up to 1,500 of it and sent it to child support when by law they can only take out less than 50% of it. They did not have a set hour per day limit, so sometimes he was working from 9 am til 1 or 2 am in the morning to meet their deadlines, and he was never given overtime. This is working 7 days a week. They did not take out the right amount of taxes so he could get a refund, instead because they did not give enough, he wound up paying federal and state taxes. He and one other were the only employees they had, because they didn't want to pay more than the minimum wage. They overpriced cheap furniture to make more money just so they can live the high life. THAT's greed.

Two....while its good for the low income families to have healthcare....what about those that abuse it?

My soon to be ex hubby is living the life...he receives child support, and Social Security benefits because he has my children and it's not legal custody either. He quit soon as he found out that SSDB is giving the boys money because I am on it. He is living the life he wants to live....everything handed to him on a platter. That's greed and laziness. He is essentially living off the backs of those who work day after day to make money and pay tax, social security and medicaid.

THAT is one of the reasons why our country was struggling with the healthcare portion. Because of some people like him, because of some women who get pregnant just to get more welfare and healthcare so they can go in and get thier pills to feed their fix, buy drugs or do nothing but sit around on their lazy butts all day. I recall meeting a woman who said she was on welfare, her kids were taken from her because of her drug abuse. She made the comment that she could always have more kids and laughed. That's sad.

:gpost:

and most people who are FOR this bill thought they were getting something for FREE.

Since the bill has passed why wait 4 years? Why wait until 2014? Demand all Obamacare provisions right now. Let the 32 million people without health care have it right now since some thousands of people die every month because they "don't have health insurance." If the health plan is supposed to lower the deficit then why wait? Start now. Why deny the 32 million people without health care for 4 years and see the result of hundreds of thousands that died waiting to be covered by Obamacare? Or is that Obama-no-care? Didn't Obama say that insurance premiums will drop by $2,500 dollars by 2014? Why wait? Send out those $2,500 checks to help cover the cost of premiums TODAY! Why wait four years? This is a life and death situation here. If this is such an emergency why let 120 people die a day without health insurance? Why wait four years for it to take effect? Do it now.

<---doesn't have healthcare...so you probably expect me to be dead.

That is the "propaganda" being "spun" by democrats to get you to vote and support them.

It is called "character assassination" and is completely untrue.

Let me give you an example of character assassination. This is a true story.

You remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ? Of course you do .. he was a famous civil rights leader.

Did you know that the democrats hated him? Did you know that segregationists were members of the Democratic Party?

All of the good that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. accomplished could have been halted when the Democratic politicians of the time placed him under surveillance.

Why did they do that? Because they wanted to smear his good name to the public and portray him as something evil and wicked.

They made up lies about him. They also found some "dirt" on him too. The FBI recorded him having an affair on his wife.

He reconciled this with his wife and they both knew his work was too important for petty mudslinging attempts from the Democratic Party.

The democratic party attempted to do this to Dr. King because they opposed the civil rights movement.

Dixiecrat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Still ... to this day, no one knows who killed him. :hmm:

The Longest serving Democrat in Congress was a member of the KKK - yet you never hear anything about it. You only pay attention to what those in power want you to pay attention to.

What the Democrats did was "character assassination" - they tried to make people associate Dr. King's name with evil wicked stuff.

It is what they did to President Bush.

It is what they are doing to the Republican Party.

Rep. Alan Grayson said all republicans are murderers.

These are the tactics they are using to brainwash you.

Democratic Party today is nowhere to be similar like in 1960's because many southern states was democrat that runs against black people so they switched to Republican Party after Civil Rights of 1964 has passed. I'm southerner and live in southeast states, of course so I know southern politicians, regardless on democrat or republican, depends on whoever is bigot and racist.

Hate to say, Republican Party isn't perfect either so they lost my respect for some reason and try to avoid to vote them so same applies to some democrat politicians, again, depends on whoever so my views is mostly democrat.
