health stocks rose

That was a prediction I didn't make. In fact I was a buyer thursday. It will be time to get back out in a little bit and look at options to maximize profit. Anybody that didn't expect them to rise shouldn't be playing the market

Nice buy.

I would have done the same. Uhmm.. Did I predict this back then on this forum or some other forum....

If anyone buys the stocks and bash the health care bill...does that make them hypocrates?

Yep. And opportunists as well. Just like the isurance companies that see a chance to increase their profits based on another's misfortune.

Not really.

Not in my eyes. It just means they're educated on how the greater mass thinks.

Once you understand the weave..... You're a weaving....

So...protest against something that could potentially help millions of uninsured but yet, rake in the profits?

Nope, makes them a savvy investor. That is the best part about things like this....They create excellent opportunities to exploit.

Business is business.

It would be hypocritical to use a county hospital perhaps

Perhaps so but in my eyes, profitting from someone else's misfortune simply because one refused to allow them to get help is definitely worse than going to a county hospital.

Profit comes off the rise of the stock......This will be a tough call though. The bottom will fall out of health care stocks....the key is knowing when

I will give you a free tip though.....NWS has predicted a volatile storm season for this summer. Watch the building supply companies...they are primed

Never paid attention to that stuff, good tip though.

I had to pay attention. Investing in and out of those companies was how I offset the rise and fall of supply prices. That was my hedge. A simple sheet of drywall can bounce between $4 and $7 depending on what is happening now. When Katrina had I already had 2000 houses worth of tarps stored. Planning is key for a small business.

Now on this mandate. If $3 ranges for drywall make a difference just think what health ins costs will do. And the maximum subsidy is 50%.

But it is fun to listen to people who have never run a business tell you how a business will be affected.

trust me, in 8 years, people will wonder, "why didn't we do it sooner? I feel much safer."

Indicates a serious lack of ethics.

Note..... I am not against helping people.....It is my opinion that this bill does not help people.....

It's simple business when it comes to investing.
