I bet she has some nice legs too. Did you see the way she was jumping out of her seat the other day. Pretty athletic for her age. Biden could keep up.

See the flaw in your thinking is that you assert if Republicans or the rich in general are against legislation to help the poor they must be against helping the poor. Nothing could be further from the truth. The difference is we want real help for those who really need it. We see giving to organizations who work in the trenches and carry very little overhead as more beneficial to the needs of the poor. These organizations work with the poor daily and understand the needs of the individual. When help goes to the poor through tax dollars it takes 535 people to decide how to distribute the money and another to approve of their decision. Then in some cases it takes nine more people to decide if that aid is constitutional. Not to mention the fact that congress is so out of touch that it is famous for paying $1500 for toilet seat repair and $500 for a Mr. Coffee. No matter who is in charge, government is a very inefficient way to get help to the people. Congress ,with a super majority, could not get health care approved in a years time.
If you want health care reform I will give you a simple quick fix. Strike down the barrier that prevents insurance companies from selling accross state lines. Create stronger tort reform to protect Dr's from petty claims. AND (this is new)Authorize an uncapped federal tax credit for every health care plan you purchase for another American citizen. Everyone would be covered by the end of the year.....not 2013 like the current legislation.
Just curious, what's with all that rabid hatred that Republicans have for Pelosi?
Netrox - Let me ask you something. Which one do you prefer? a high tax on wealthy people where the tax money will be recklessly spent on nonsense and will most likely end up in politicians' pockets or the donations by wealthy people to any foundations for specific cause where in return - they get a tax cut for it
Higher tax on the wealthy, no question about it. Why should the rich pump their money into a "specific cause?"
I mean, just think of what consequences we will face if we just stopped taxing people and let the rich pay ONLY what they want to pay for?
By the way, Jiro, you understand that Pelosi is NOT making that money from being a Speaker? It's her personal business that enable her to make her one of the wealthiest on Congress. She earns from her investments.
I hate Pelosi, too, and I am also a registered democrat (but only because Indiana forces me to claim a party in order to vote in primaries. In CA I was independent). But she'll never lose her seat in SF. No way.
"investments".... I lol'ed
Huh?
Wiki it up
"The Pelosi family has a net worth of nearly $12.5 million as of 2008, largely from investments. In addition to their large portfolio of jointly owned San Francisco Bay Area real estate, the couple also owns a vineyard in St. Helena, California, valued between $5 million and $25 million. Pelosi's husband also owns stock, including $1 million in Apple Computer, and is the owner of the California Redwoods of the United Football League. Pelosi continues to be among the richest members of Congress."
lol @ your effort to make Pelosi like she's an honest hard-working politician![]()
