It was just relased that in the State of the Union tonight Obama will say "we not only have a deficit of dollars, we have a deficit of trust"

:lol: Duh!!! Breaking campaign promises will do that. Maybe you should have put those health care talks on C-SPAN like you said.


This line is so stupid and will be mocked for days. Shows how out of touch he and his advisors are.

So he puts the blame on others again....of course. Takes no responsibility for the broken promises. Be interesting to see if he brings up his C-SPAN mistake and how he justifies it. I am pretty sure he will just ignore it. I will have to watch it on Tivo later to see.

I hold Obama accountable for his lies. This thread is about the deficit of trust as the title suggests. Try to stay on topic please.
 
I am ON topic - you're accusing Obama of causing economic problems and breaking his promises. What promises did he break? transparency? And Bush was transparent? :)

Every president has had to deal with what his predecessor left behind.

Maybe Obama wants to address this issue..the breaking of promises by politicans and to follow thru better?

Since 2007 it was a Democrat-controlled congress. Guess who mostly voted and passed the bills that led to ever increasing deficit problems?

He hasn't said anything in this thread about President Obama causing economic problems. Focus, netrox!

By the way, from the liberal viewpoint, it seems to me that comparing Obama to Bush is more of an attack on Obama than a defense.

Budget deficit has started during republican controlled in congress too due we are involve with 2 wars (2002-2006).

I didn't mention economic problems in this thread. Feel free to start your own thread on that topic if that is what you want to discuss.

During the campaign Obama forfeited his right to say "Bush broke promises too" or "Bush wasn't Transparent" Obama's platform was "Change". Obama's mantra was Hope,Change and no more politics as usual. Obama hasn't just broken campaign promises. He has ignored the entire concept that got him elected.

Off topic post and if memory serves also incorrect. The houses in congress were split in 2006

Bush never promised about transparency so there was no broken promise. but Obama did. Now what happened? where's the transparency that he promised?

:lol:I would run but pictures from parties would come out in the first week of the campaign and I would be done.
