The Glenn Beck thread!!!

Controversy causes ratings, and ratings means charging advertisers a higher fee. It also allows Glen Beck to gain publishing deals. You guys are basically feeding the troll.

Ann Coutoure, Oreilly, Beck, dont believe in half the shit they say. But they know that the more bold their comments are, the more controversy it creates.
Same principle has worked for many others: Howard Stern, Morton Downey, Jr., Geraldo Rivera. It all rotates around the Almighty Dollar.

I rarely, if ever, watch any of these aforementioned controversial broadcasters. Extreme is extreme, and I am a MOR kinda guy. If I want extreme, I will shave my ass and walk backwards.

If extremes one is talking about then Olby is relevant in this topic as well.

There is some relevancy if one wants to talk about "extremism." Going off topic is to go off further and further outside the main course of the thread.

Now, back to the thread topic. Glenn Beck.

that's what anakin said in the first place. please don't be a cheap-shot to put in off-topic last word and then ask us to get back on topic

so you say Glenn Beck has no opinion about Sarah Palin? interesting :hmm:

Glenn Beck: McCain Worse Than Obama
Fox News Host Tells Katie Couric That he Might Have Voted for Hillary Clinton over 2008 Republican Presidential Nominee

(CBS) In an interview for the inaugural installment of @katiecouric, the new Web show hosted by Katie Couric, Glenn Beck said that he thinks "John McCain would have been worse for the country than Barack Obama."

Beck, the Fox News personality, radio host and author, also said that he may have voted for Hillary Clinton over McCain had Clinton been the Democratic nominee in 2008.

"I can’t believe I’m saying this, I think I would have much preferred her as president and may have voted for her against John McCain," Beck told Couric.

Prompted to elaborate by the CBS Evening News anchor and managing editor, Beck said he thinks "McCain is this weird progressive like Theodore Roosevelt was."

"I think John McCain would have been worse," he continued, laughing. "How about this? I think John McCain would have been worse for the country than Barack Obama. How’s that?"

interesting.....

Going Rogue: A “Palin”tologist’s Review - Hip Hop Republican

From a black conservative perspective about Sarah Palin and her book. But that's off topic here. don't even know what GB think of her. Never thought about it.

here's what Glenn Beck thinks of Sarah Palin

Glenn Beck: Palin a "brilliant pick" for VP
The following dialogue took place Monday on the Glenn Beck Program. Scott Rasmussen was on to discuss his recent polling, and the talk turned to the veepstakes. Thanks to Hamilton Roberts of Conservative for Change, who made me aware of this.
-------
GLENN: Anybody that John McCain could select?

RASMUSSEN: You know, I've been going over this and nobody, there's no silver bullets. I think the reason that I've finally come to that conclusion is most Republicans who have been saying this is the person that John McCain has to pick are people who didn't really want John McCain to be the nominee and they are saying we need somebody who can win despite of the fact that John McCain is the nominee. There is -- you know, you can make a case that Sarah Palin, the Alaskan governor who is very strong on the energy issue.

GLENN: I love her. Can I tell you something? I think she would be a brilliant pick because she's a total fresh face. She is -- she would be, you know, the first woman vice president. She is plain spoken. She is strong on energy. She speaks the language of the American people. I mean, I just think she would be off the charts.

RASMUSSEN: That's right. And she's a former beauty queen and captain of her state champion basketball team. What more do you want?

GLENN: Not that that doesn't hurt. I'm not saying that she's a hottie but I'm not not saying that, either.

RASMUSSEN: Well, the fact is, Glenn, she is a choice that could be very good. We don't know how she would perform in that national spotlight but, yeah, she is -- especially if Barack Obama does not pick a woman as his vice presidential nominee, that would be a very good pick.

Part 1 of 4 that came out today. Captioned, of course.

Be sure to watch rather than make assumptions. Glenn is actually agreeing with one of the New York Times' article.

Love the Keith Olbermann reference! How can I take an ex-Sportcenter anchor seriously? He is extreme Left, which is not me either. I assume the only path that gains acceptance is the far right. No thanks. I like to keep my mind open.

BTW, all this anti-Liberal posting is having one side effect. I notice the site ads are starting to be mostly about Palin and other Conservative causes. You have swung the tides of commercial enterprise towards your side! Oh sweet victories, one step at a time! :nutkick:

It would appear that someone has a great deal of difficulty in discerning the difference between entertainment and reality. Somehow, they have come to the conclusion that they are one and the same.

In some cases, they are.

I don't have time for reality that is so hostile. If I get that urge, I watch UFC.
