Do you have a MOXI DVR at home? If yes, do you like it? I did not buy it yet because it is too pricey, but perhaps it is better than a TiVo DVR.

Moxi

I never heard this brand name. That's nice they offer "No monthly fees" or "No subscription". I like that Moxi accept any external hard drive better than Tivo.

You have to read fine print.
Moxi accepts Digital Cable only. This time, Moxi will won't work with satellite system.

You will see compare Moxi vs Tivo
MOXI

We have no idea how look good Closed Caption from Moxi system.

Oh, thank you!! I am going to purchase a moxi dvr when I move to a decent apt sometime this year. It will save me tons of money!

I decided to buy an eligato USB eyetv hybrid and EyeTV3 software for my iMac. I am impressed with the Eligato's products.

I am glad that I did not buy a Moxio because it cost 800 dollars or more. I bought the Eligato stuff for 250 dollars, and it can storage the shows on an external hard disk. I saved 550 dollars. Big whew!

Does this EyeTV3 support Closed Caption?

TIVO and Moxi are DVR.

EyeTV3 and other HDTV USB are great for laptop or desktop computer. Many HDTV USB/cards won't show any closed Caption.

When, I have time then I will research EyeTV3's support closed caption or not.

Yes, EyeTV3 supports closed captions. It also can save the captions on an exported video clip. :)

TIVO and Moxi are good, but they are just expensive. They have to stay the power on, and it is same thing for an iMac computer with USB eyetv hybrid and EyeTV3 if I want to set the record timer.

Here are two pictures for example with EyeTV3 on iMac.

Thank for sharing pictures.
Very interested to see....
Is this EyeTV3 good for Apple Computer only? We are PC Windows users.

There are a very few good ones for Windows users.

I think that the Hauppauge is probably a good one because it showed me the demo on the website because I wanted to see a proof that it has the closed captions: Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950Q TV USB and a remote.

Support for WinTV v7

I noticed that Hauppauge sells different USB models, and one of two software that has different video graphic buttons that look ugly. I think that the WinTV-HVR-950Q's software graphic design looks nice. (See the link above.)

Another company: AVerTV Hybrid Volar Max or other AverTVHD. This company's website does not show me the demo or example. It says that it supports only the captions in U.K. Pretty weird. The company does not want us to see its software - probably, a lousy and cheap design software.

Please let me know if you got one for your IBM PC.

If you found better one, I will tell my friend about it because my friend bought a Dell computer last spring.
