And thar she goes....to Iowa!

you mean into lobbyists', oil CEOs', GOP's pockets? :hmm:

btw - loving how you're ignoring all of my posts & questions :fruit:

Maybe he has you on ignore?

Incorrect, in the Green River Shale formation alone (in Utah, Wyoming and Colorado) there is an estimated amount of oil locked up in the shale that's several times bigger than Saudi Arabia alone. About twice as much as Middle East oil. You need to study up on this, logger. There is even an oil drilling boom in North Dakota (Bakken oil) which happens to be the only state out of 50 that gained jobs rather than lost jobs. This oil estimates do not even include the potential amount on offshore oil such as the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic and Pacific, and even around Alaska, too. We're literally saturated with both conventional and unconventional oil, and trillions of cubic feet of natural gas, too. Not to mention potential use of methane hydrate which is estimated that the U.S. carries the greater percentage of the world's methane hydrate.

:hmm: Hmmm... can you provide a source? As far as I know, Canada and Saudi Arabia are among the top sources of oil.

the source is from scientists/geologists hired by oil companies like Exxon :hmm:

It's easy. Type in ""green river shale formation" in Google and you'll find lots of info!

What I'm getting at is the amount potential oil to tap into. Remember, two kinds of oil - conventional and unconventional.

The more that people post about oil... the more I doubt that one person is a reputable hydrologist... or geologist... considering the people I know in geology and paloeontology says otherwise.

hence - my post in other thread... you will find any professional in any field that will support anybody's stance. just gotta take it with a grain of salt and see one's background on it.

I want to talk about the designer shoes!!!! I stand corrected because I do have a few pairs of designer shoes. One pair of Ferragamo flats, two pairs of Brighton. Do Birks count? I have several pairs of those--two pairs of mary janes, a pair of clogs and a pair of sandals. I love Birks. :cool2:

Jiro, you can hire a professional witness to say *anything.* The price might be high.

People you know? Who? Any names?

Meanwhile, the Green River Formation do exists where the oil (kerogen) is locked up in shale rock formations in three states. You might want to read up on these things regarding unconventional oil we have here in the U.S.

http://fossil.energy.gov/programs/reserves/npr/NSURM_Documentation.pdf

Current reserves estimates range between 800 billion to 1.4 trillion barrels of oil (the most economically attractive deposits that is). Either way, that's a lot of oil in just three states only versus Saudi Arabia's with some ~250 billion barrels of oil. North America alone is one of the most oil abundant country that would put the Middle East countries to shame.

oh Im in Iowa too.
this will be interesting.
Iowa was a big win for Obama.
interesting drama

Yep. As an attorney, you should know all about that. There are those unethical "psychologists" that will testify any way desired for a buck. Physicians as well.
