CNN in last place

CNN has steered opinion hosts like Nancy Grace to HLN, while maintaining more news-oriented shows on CNN itself. When news events are not being intensely followed, CNN executives acknowledge, viewers seem to be looking for partisan views more than objective coverage.
Hardly a good thing.

Besides, I don't watch news on TV much these days. I'm reading the news on the internet more and more these days.

Also, I am finding that pretty much all of the news channels aren't covering the real news, it's just a bunch of spectacles and commentaries that I'm seeing on these channels. It's rather off-putting.

The results demonstrate once more the apparent preference of viewers for opinion-oriented shows from the news networks in prime time.

Not exactly a glowing endorsement!

I'm sorry that CNN does not have pretty women with cleavage as news anchor. I'm sorry that CNN does not have  radical speakers like Limbaugh or O'Reilly that feed on hatred and bigotry. I'm sorry that CNN's commentaries sound a little too intellectual and in-depth. :aw:

Let's see..... who I rather listen to? Larry King or O'Reilly + Limbaugh + Coulter combined? :hmm:

easy choice :)

I like Democracy Now, BBC, sometimes C-Span or CNN. But I rarely do have time to sit down and watch anything.

Who does? Lol were it not for Tivo, I wouldn't even watch my favorite television shows. I don't watch ANYTHING live anymore. :dunno2:

I have noticed that the quality of news on CNN has been way down for several years.

Still beats the heck out of the more obviously biased and partisan sites. If, that is, you are looking for factual accounts instead of evidence of their support for a particular party.

Royale, I remember CNN during their heydays of the early 80s when I lived near Atlanta. Everybody was talking about CNN as a great news outlet. I guess it's not now. *shrugs*

Just because people are not watching it does not mean that it is still not a great news outlet. The article explains that when it states that people are looking for more opinionated news outlets.

Few read William Shakespear these days. Doesn't mean that he isn't still a great literary figure.

Agreed. I like Larry King, but that's the only quality program that CNN carries.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... CNN needs to be more internationally-based like other world news networks. What's the point of us getting CNN in Canada if all they're going to talk about is the United States? BBC News airs here as well, but very rarely will you see something that is just about what is going on in the United Kingdom. It is very internationally-based.

Larry looks like he's about keel over any time while on the air. Odds are he'll probably get a heart attack or something during a live taping.

 Not gonna lie, he does look like he could croak at anytime.

What exactly does that have to do with his journalistic abilities?

and Limbaugh looks like he's going to blow a gasket anytime soon. his face's too red. Probably will get a brain aneurysm.... depending if his drug addiction doesn't kill him first.

If Larry King died that way, at least he died doing what he loves doing for years.
