I want to go to Gallaudet University. I am figuring out what do with my two younger girls?

I was wondering if we are moving lives in Maryland and sends my girls at school while I am attending College? :hmm:

Any FYI? :hmm:
 
I am sure you can figure something out...like if your girls go school from 9 to 3 or 330 and you can take classes between those hours and be home when your girls arrive home from school. Other thing is neighbor can watch your girls for short time til you get home.
 
I am keeping my house but how much average cost of apartment in Maryland near Gallaudet?
 
Have you considered about taking online courses?

Apts in MD/DC are not that cheap unless you may live in a house with roommates to chip the rent/utilities cost?

Do you have any relatives living in MD/DC? If not, how can you get a support system when come to your kids?

You have to consider about it more carefully before you make a decision.

Aww First of all, thats nice that you have thought of returning to school. So do you have any relatives or good friends who happen to live in MD or VA? That is a good start with checking with them from there.

Have you ever visiting there DC MD VA and Gallaudet before? it will help you to find more as to where you can rent the apartment from there. There are plenty of apartments that are close to the subways but costly a little bit. If your VR can cover your tuition and off campus then it helps some and SS benefit too. Kids will get ss benefits under you.

Over 1100 per monthly. We used to live on east capitol and 11 st southeast that is close to gally. I spoke with the landlord who we lived there that used to be 600 bucks in 1994 then we left apartment in 2001 it was 720. He told me that he will charge someone else who will rent our old apartment that would be 1100. So I dont know if it goes up years later. I think living in maryland or virginia which is cheaper but still costly however apartment have three bedrooms and so costs about 1,500 per month, if i am not mistake. Also, you plan to send your kids to school so better in either MD or VA that is good for your kids. In DC, I would not prefer to send my kids to DC school. If it were me, I would pick MD. VA is good but last time i lived there that more deafies live in MD so i like to be around many deafies. :D
 
I plan to contact with my friends who lives in MD and find out about nice safe cheap place for your kids, you and your os. I believe that Shel90 know a little more than I am. I d like to find out about it too. lol. No i am not coming back to MD VA DC for a while but who knows. hehe
