It's Official: Water Found on the Moon

Probably not enough water to drink if colony launch in there.

Yeah the article has said that there was 32 ounces of water in one of its many craters so I think it is equal to about 2 1/2 cans of sofa pop.

otherwise, people can pee and recycle to water drink again. :D

In order to have life as we know it. It has to have water...

Evolution will take its course. Many, Millions of years away, I can see life substantiating on the moon. Unless their is certain life that does not strive on H2O.

Who knows.

Maybe we, mankind are wrong that water may not the solution to become a life. who know.

Even though water was found, I guess NASA is still going ahead with its LCROSS mission to bomb the moon to find water ice or vapour in the resulting debris. Seems kinda moot now, eh?
The missile is due to strike on October the 8th.

All it needs for a scientist or a team of them to create a way to make water.

science 'cant make water' but they can restructure some chemical bondings.... there are billions of hydrogen modecules in spaces (as does others) just they are so far apart, hence its S - P - A - C - E - D apart in space. Ramjet nuclear engines running on hydrogen for interstellar travel isn't a new concept been around like like 50 years or more but what seems to be is, it's harder to collect enough, the funnel probably have to be a kilometre or so in radius just to be vinicty to be able to scoop it.

Yea, but with technology advancing the way it is, I wouldnt be surprised if there was a discovery to bond the chemicals was discovered. What a feat that would be!

still sooo much we don't know-
makes me remember the vastness of it all

Did you know that the astronauts and cosmonauts in International Space Station (ISS) drink water from their own urine which is filtered thru a specialty machine? I think it is real neat to recycle water from your own urine. :D

Interesting. now i am curious how my pee tastes like. :hmm: :laugh2:

exactly like purified water lol. The waste material from your pee is removed and discarded.

(no I've never drank water from my own piss but it's what I read :giggle:)

and also from their shower, breathing, and sweat.
